If you have someone play this setup

And they are a VT and somebody claims FN and another person claims reporter and another person (fake)claims neap and another claims rolestop, for instance, then I kinda think the VT will just straight up believe the neap and FN claims, because they expect that much power for town. And Rolestop is a scummy claim by default. And yeah.

i wanted the thing to be more dayplay centric

an all goons team would also lack the info to comfortably execute a fake claim, i feel like them successfully executing something is a skill that has to be rewarded

rolestopper is also pretty towny too? it's basically doctor+

I'm not saying it's a bad setup

In fact it's probably reasonably balanced

I just think if you nerfed it a bit and let people who rely on setup spec over dayplay play it, it might result in disaster.

yeah that's honestly fair, tbh i was more joking about it since usually i've felt like it's hard to get your setup passed on the first go without modifications, so i went with a bit more scumsided version

The year is 1935, in the streets of a crime-ridden New York, detective Gypyx is nearing a breakthrough in trying to dismantle the Mafia's influence on the city, she has been contacted by one of her main informants, he wanted to speak face to face, and as such she went for their usual meeting spot

but, as she was approaching a voice can be heard calling out for her

"Excuse me miss?"

She barely has the time to turn around that the mysterious figure reveals their intentions

Suddenly, all this is cut short by, the director screaming

CUUUUT ! Hmmm... no, i don't like how this is going, done and redone, the audiences want something new ! Who cares about detective stories anymore
