Alien Informed Pagetop Muppinator-Bearer

You have a
Pagetop Muppinator
artifact.

Pagetop MuppinatorEvery pagetop that you take in a game thread puts one more charge counter onto this artifact.

Spend five charge counters and target another player (use at any time): you will use a random ability on them that hasn't been used before from the following list.
* You will make this player immune to kills and eliminations for the rest of this phase.
* You will cause this player to die at the end of this phase.
* You will learn this player's alignment at the end of this phase.
* You will die if this player is not dead at the end of this phase.
* You will switch roles, items, and statuses with this player, but not alignments.

If you are killed, your hammer voter/killer will receive this artifact.
If all abilities are exhausted from this artifact, you will gain the following ability:
* Your votes are marked in
this color
.

You are informed of the following:

Pacifist Mafioso

You are aligned with the mafia and share a PT with all other members of the mafia.

You may not perform the mafia's factional kill under any circumstances.

You appear incapable of killing to a Psychologist, and when checked by a Gunsmith, you will be found to possess no guns.

You may not post anything but your vote and words “woof” or “bark” or “bow wow”.

Once two eliminations have occurred you can speak normally.

Town Activated Superstar Marshal

You can PM the mod at any time to activate your abilities. When you do, the mod will confirm you to be a
Marshal
. When your Marshal ability activates, the town will be able to eliminate three people for one day.
Once a hammer vote is placed, kill the player and do not flip them, but reset votes and return to the day phase with the same deadline. After the deadline strikes (or 3 players have been eliminated, or whatever is your criteria for processing flips), flip all 3 players at once.

Town Questionable Cop

Each night, you may choose a player. If you do, you will learn their alignment.

At the beginning of the game, you are secretly given one of these modifiers, at random:
  • Reliable - Your results remain unmodified by this ability.
  • Naive - You will always recieve an innocent result.

A Visitor From Ravenswood Bluff

You have a mod discretion role that conforms to one of the following categories:
  1. A Town role (which is Townsfolk if a role cares about that)
  2. A negative utility Townie (which is an Outsider if a role cares about that)
  3. A groupscum role (which is a Minion if a role cares about that)
  4. A groupscum role that can interact with the factional kill (such as a Ninja or a Juggernaut or Enforcer. It's a Demon if a role cares about that)

When this role is rolled, while it is alive it confers an alternative voting system onto the game. The following will be posted by the mod at the start of the day.

A Visitor From Ravenswood BluffA visitor has come to the town from the nearby village of Ravenswood Bluff. The visitor has brought a new system of democracy to the Village.

Each living player has one Nomination per day. Nominate them using VOTE: playername tags. Only one player can be nominated at a time, and each player can only be nominated once per day.

While a Nomination is active, votes are instead to condemn or exonerate the Nominated player. Condemn with HURT: playername, and exonerate with HEAL: playername. You may vote to condemn multiple players in the same day. You have 24 hours to put your votes in. You may not unvote. Not voting defaults to exoneration.

If a player receives more than 50% of the living playerlist in votes to condemn, they are Condemned to die. If enough exoneration votes are placed such that a majority is impossible, the nomination ends early in failure.

At the end of the deadline, whoever is Condemned is eliminated. If multiple players are Condemned, then the player with the most votes is eliminated. If there is a tie for most votes, nobody is eliminated.

Vote TokensIf you die, you will lose the ability to Nominate, but you still have one more bit of influence over the game.

You possess a Vote Token, which will let you vote to HURT: condemn a player one time for the rest of the game. This must be a naked vote (i.e. with no accompanying text or communication in it), and you cannot vote to Exonerate.

Once you have lost this Vote Token, you die for good.

Once you die, the following is posted:
Return To NormalcyThe visitor from Ravenswood Bluff is no longer with us. Democracy returns to normal.

A Visitor From Salem

You have a mod discretion role based off of a role from either Town of Salem 1 or Town of Salem 2.

When this role is rolled, while it is alive it confers an alternative voting system onto the game. The following will be posted by the mod at the start of the day.

A Visitor From SalemA visitor has come to the town from the nearby village of Salem. The visitor has brought a new system of democracy to the Town.

Votes are not to execute, but instead to Indict and put someone on Trial. Up to three trials can happen each day. Indict someone using VOTE: playername tags. Once a majority of players are voting to indict the same player, they will be put on Trial.

Once the mod declares the Trial to have begun, nobody is allowed to speak for 12 hours, or until the defendant posts, whichever is first. After either of these have occurred, posting is unrestricted once more and players may now vote on a verdict. Guilty with HURT: playername, Innocent with HEAL: playername. After either of these options have been hammered or half of the day deadline remaining at the start of voting has passed (whichever comes first), the verdict will be passed.

If there were more votes Guilty than Innocent, the player is executed after a short period of Twilight (up to Moderator discretion). If there were more votes Innocent than Guilty (or a tie), then the trial concludes without an execution, and the Indictment votes continue.

Town Biphasic Approval-Seeking Politician

While you are alive, the Day phase is split into two subphases:
Primary
and
Runoff
. These phases may be at moderator discretion length.
rules of the primary/runoff systemDuring the
Primary
phase, players may cast as many votes to eliminate as they like for as many players as they like, in approval voting fashion. To reduce spam, players are also welcome to UNVOTE: all players when they wish to rescind all votes.

After the
Primary
phase concludes, the
Runoff
phase begins and all votes are wiped. Any player that received majority approval by the end of the
Primary
will be eligible to be voted in the
Runoff
. If fewer than two players received majority approval, the two highest vote-getters will be eligible to be voted in the
Runoff
. Ties include everyone in the tie.

The
Runoff
phase works as voting works normally: each player only gets one vote and a simple majority of votes on an eligible candidate will cause them to be eliminated.

Once per day you may target another player publicly. You will exchange wagons with them.

Mafia Beacon of Hatred

As long as you are alive, the following effect is in play, which will be publically revealed day 1

An aura of angerAt the start of each day, each player receives a Nemesis, their vote will be tripled against their Nemesis, They are randomly assigned such that each player is only the target of one other person in the game

This effect ends once the Beacon of Hatred dies

You may chose whoever is assigned to be your nemesis each day, and any night after you manage to kill your nemesis, you'll appear as the town role of your choice to any investigatives while appearing performing the action of your choice

Level 1 Paladin

Alignment: Lawful Good (see below)

You have the following abilities, which you may use at night:
  • Lesser Heal: Protect a player from a single kill.
  • Smite Evil: Roleblock a player. If their alignment is Chaotic Evil (see below), they instantly die. Otherwise, nothing happens

Alignments:

All members of groupscum factions are Lawful Evil, unless stated otherwise.

All hostile third parties, such as Serial Killer or Arsonist, are Chaotic Evil unless stated otherwise.

All members of the Town faction are Neutral Good, unless stated otherwise.

Players with the "Lawful Good" alignment have the following win condition: all evil-aligned players are dead and there are at least 3 remaining good-aligned players.

Players with the "Chaotic Good" alignment win once all Lawful Evil and Lawful Neutral players are dead. They remain in the game and are allowed to assist the town but do not have to.

Players with the "Lawful Neutral" alignment win if either of the following conditions has been met: (a) The game had been won by a Lawful Evil faction; or (b) A player with the Lawful Good alignment has achieved their win condition.

Is this a good idea or a terrible one? Would anyone enjoy playing any of these non-standard alignments?

I'm pretty sure none of this would come into direct conflict with feeling like a game of mafia. It just adds town with slightly different wincons and third parties with slightly different wincons. Also I removed the health thing.

At the start of each night, mod takes the natural log of the # of last non-mod post. If it's evaluation TRUNCATED (not rounded) to 3 digits, and the last digit is a 1 or a 7, you die.

Otherwise, Mafia Traitor that joins factional PT when last up, but cant night kill.

Mafia Bowler

At the start of each day, you have ten pins. Each day, you may PM the mod with a {1d11-1} dice tag. That's how many pins you knock down. If you knock down all the pins during the day, you get a Strike.
At night, if you didn't knock down all ten pins, you may PM the mod with a {1dX+1} dice tag, where X is the number of pins you have left minus one. Whatever number comes up is how many pins you knock down. If you knock down all the pins during the night, you get a Spare.

For every 20 pins you knock down, you get a Spare. For every 30 pins you knock down, you get a Strike.

You can spend a Strike to perform an Unconfident Vig shot on someone else. (Your action will fail if your target is targeted by someone else.) Spend a Spare in addition to the Strike to remove the Unconfidence.

You can spend a Spare to perform an Unconfident Combined Roleblocker Rolecop ability on someone else. (Your roleblocker-rolecop will fail if your target is targeted by someone else.) Spend two Spares to remove the Unconfidence.

If you spend three Strikes, you can perform a Dayvig in private.

Scheming Wildcard

During pregame, you are informed of what other factions exist in the game, and you may vow your allegiance to one of them. If you do, you win if that faction wins; otherwise, you win if you are alive at the end of the game, and you win alone.

Once during the game, either during Night or Day, you may choose a faction and an ability among Doublevoter, Eliminationproof, and Vengeful. A random living member of the chosen faction, if one exists, will have the chosen ability until the end of the next phase, and you will gain a PT with that player.

Vindictive Rival

Your role is guaranteed to be the same as another player, whom you know the identity of. Your alignment has been altered, however:
Town
<-->
Nowt

Mafia
<-->
Werewolf
(or Alternate Mafia or similar scum faction if one exists)
Alien
<-->
Cult
(or other non-standard groupscum if one exists)
Third-parties can keep their alignment as appropriate.

You are aligned with your faction, but you must make sure you live to see your target's faction lose in endgame. They can live to be endgamed, but you must both be alive and your target must not win in endgame for you to achieve your alternate wincon.

To that end, while your target is alive, you have a
one-shot self-Reviver
ability which you may use from beyond the grave.
While you still have this power, your flip is suppressed.
If your target dies and you are dead as well, then your flip will be disclosed alongside theirs. Once you die a second time, however, you permanently lose the ability to be revived again, even by other roles.

Mafia Egotist Roleblocker

Egotist
- If you have posted in more threads than the person you target, your action is unstoppable. If a player would target you with a disruptive action (such as an attack or roleblock) while you have posted in more threads than them, their action will fail.

Each night, you may target a player. That player will be roleblocked for the night.
