Why would that be interesting?
It's an assumption that pinged me, because I just dont know what would make you have that assumption? At most it is just a coincidence, at worst its TMI.
Have you read the set up?
I did.
I see there are conversions, and that real names may be useful in place of usernames for some roles, but not that real names would be used for conversions?
And also not that it would benefit scum specifically?
I'm not sure what you're trying to argue here.
That I think your assumption of Mafia needing full names to be effective could read as TMI.

It honestly isn't meant to be

I'm kind of just spewing my thoughts as I catch up. This honestly could mean nothing and I could just end up not caring about it once I'm fully caught up.

Let me try and explain what I'm trying to say again:

- We know that everyone has a real name.
- We know that real names plays a part for some roles.
- You saying that you have a feeling that knowing real names would make scum more effective pinged me, because I wasn't sure where that assumption came from, as we dont know whether real names will help town or scum, unless we have more information that tips us off one way or the other.

I feel like we are arguing semantics at this point almost, so ima leave it for now. I genuinely don't think it's that deep.

I don't think we're arguing semantics

I think you tried to throw out shade to follow up with a fake scum read later so that you can push someone at the end of your catchup

I don't buy that you think reading comprehension is TMI and I don't buy that you were interested if I explained my reasoning later, because if you were you could just read my ISO and look at the surrounding posts for context.

Nowhere does it say that the actions that require real names are scum related, and not town related, which is where my confusion is.

makes me feel better about the "contradiction".

Naked votes in and - just to make note of.

And clears up my confusion Roden.

I agree with and , there likely is some counter play to recruit phases on the town sides to balance the recruitment mechanic imo.

Not sure what the point of was.

The assumption comes from the fact that scum have a factional ability for conversion, not a specific cult leader, and that this set up also has the real names mechanic

I don't see why there's confusion on how I went from Thought A to Thought B

It sounded like to me like you were assuming that only scum would benefit from real names, but in 112 I see that isn't true, which is why it cleared up my confusion.

Interactions between Drew and Aureal seem super weird to me. Not quite sure how to read it.
It doesn't feel forced so probably not S/S?

feels genuine to me I think. I dont see scum randomly saying this as it opens them up to not being believed and put them in the spotlight.

looks like Deas is trying to sort on his wagon which I do like.

and I want to come back to if it doesn't get explained.

You just looking for allies cuz you getting wagoned
or is it that you were the other claim and I didn't say that I believed yours? :P

the thought behind it is that my main goal has been in sorting the slots that have been lower activity/gotten replaced. Celebloki was potential scum in my mind but Gamma's claim has me not interested in eliminating there at the moment.

Honestly I think the most helpful thing here is for me to be open about the fact that I'm the individual. My win condition does not necessarily require me to survive and I do not have any sort of killing or converting ability. I also cannot have my role, alignment or win condition changed.
I had initially thought that it would be easiest for me to achieve my win condition by getting eliminated day 1, but that ended up being based on a misinterpretation of my win condition.

If y'all decide that's what you want to do then it doesn't really bother me, but I'm probably less of a problem for town at the moment than somebody who can convert/be converted.

If your win condition isn't contingent on survival, what is it? If it's Town-compatible, and you can't get recruited, you shouldn't have a problem sharing right?

I have two potential methods of winning. Either:
- I identify the real names of anyone who targeted me the previous night, or;
- immediately upon my elimination I correctly identify the number of people who have been converted (which I thought I could achieve by just being eliminated day 1 and guessing zero, but I misinterpreted and it’s only after the first night that that counts)

I also can be publicly confirmed as the host of the reunion if need be but that makes me immune to eliminations the following day, so I didn’t really want to do that unless asked.

I have a night action where I can visit someone and learn their real name. They will get notification of being visited but not that it was me specifically.

It’s weird and I’ve been out of sorts working out what to even do with myself this game.

Well, I personally am fine with you sticking around for now, claim seems believable enough, and identifying the number of conversions means helping us find cult's in your best interest.

Though of course, if deadline picks up again and we can't agree on anyone else... guaranteed Non-Town elimination is the safe option

Limming Deas on a later day could also help us figure out the speed conversions are happening at the very least?

while seemingly backing out of committing to a read feels more like cautious town than scum imo.

I generally feel as if Aureal is genuine throughout the start of this page, so leantown on her for now.

Not liking but I generally dislike "I'm here but I have nothing to say" posts as they usually feel like scum active lurking potentially to me. I am noting the amount of people saying this has been a slow game though, which may have played a factor.

Page 8

. I hate it. Stop it.

The amount of dumbtells this page makes my head spin.
FWIW I remember conversions being in the signup post before I originally signed up before I /outted.

On a first read Roden reacted similarly to how he has been responding to me recently, so I at least like the fact he had remained consistent.

If the theory about scum using real names for conversions is correct, then having my real name out there as a decoy is also probably not a bad thing
