Speedlynching people for stupid reasons seems to imply not taking the game seriously enough, not the reverse. So whatever went on with Drake, it's not helping your case.
I can see that this site is rather serious, though, but if you're not playing to win you're really not playing right. And certainly some games here are more serious than others. Just don't join games that don't look fairly light on the surface.
1) Just because some players on the site are mean doesn't mean they all are. Calling the entire site mean because of one bad experience is unfair.
2) Fun is subjective. Don't complain that you're not having any fun in our games and expect us to care. The majority of the players on the site do have fun in games. Otherwise they wouldn't play them. We aren't going to change our entire meta in a heartbeat because a few players from CC disaprove of it.
3) If you think games here are too serious, then don't play here. Its as simple as that.

Oh okay. Their is only one gametype where it is a legitimate threat, and that's the Lover's Mafia being run in open. But you are right about people in other games using it as a fearmongerer in early game. It is just that the Lover's Mafia fiasco is still pertinent in my mind.
Seems like quicklynch would be more hazardous to scum than town in that situation, which enforces my point. Let me guess, one of the scum got quicklynched d1?
I smell another visit to CC in the near future. Cohorts, away!!
totally /in
I'm really disappointed with the post I made there. In retrospect, I wish I had said "Cohorts, assemble!" because we haven't actually gone anywhere yet. Yet.

No, a townie got all hot and bothered when I refused to quicklynch d1. Said townie semi-selfdestructed and hammered someone who he "knew" was town. And then the scum quicklynched him d2 because I voted for him. And the scum team had 10 posts
The lover's mafia before that had SensFan-scum speedlynch Guardian, which tore town into 2 groups of 2 and me. The speedlynch basically gave the weight of the game to the odd player out.

Yeah, but stupid stuff like that is the exception rather than the rule.
It's the town's fault for letting that happen in the first place.
O don't see what's wrong with a website taking a game seriously when that website's primary purpose is that game. That's like complaining that people at a sports website take sports too seriously: well, yeah. Duh. Or people at conquerclub take risk too seriously (and I'm sure I've seen some. I forget.)
