No, this is unusual. I think if there were 2 leaderish types of scum the game would've looked very different.

True. Though I guess if scum lacked leadership then it means the final two aren't very active and probably not interacting much with the game.

I think they probably just lacked initiative or good ideas.
It would probably have been easier to convince other players to nuke town with humor/memes/whatever you need to get a band wagon going,
then defend T3, Marci, and Andres. Most players aren't going to put themselves underwater trying to defend them.
They can be leaders but they're missing initiative or miscalculated with player responses.
Or there's a schedule issue.
Dunno.

i doubt survivor just comes out with ur offer bell because theres plenty of people out there that will just kill the survivor cause its a 3p.

Scum can't nuke them without claiming scum if an agreement is made.

The 3P presumably knows this too. They're also safer now than later when the lethality requirement increases and their chances of dying increase as well by a spite shot from the scum.
Otherwise they can pray that they don't get nuked all the way to the finish line.
Scum's only advantage or hold over them is removed if they claim early, but only in this particular context here a 1 for 1 trade with a risk of missing is an extraordinarily bad move.

But I do keep my bargains.
It sounds mostly reasonable to me.
I of course know that there are probably flaws to it. But on the surface. It would make sense to just do that with a time table attached.
You can probably hit the correct math where there is an optimal time to claim where the town are willing to negotiate. I don't think now is a bad time.
I'd claim if I were 3P here as a survivor.

But that's mostly because I love being town and being honorary town as a 3P has largely been how I played 3P (This goes about as well as you'd think).

If they're not exactly a survivor though, the idea goes up in smoke because town can figure out where and when they would need to kill them to ensure they couldn't win.
But a survivor probably has better odds of just siding with the town now and the earlier the better.

i am under the impression the setup has been changed significantly for this run and i think it is townsided now

I was in the last game and this game is very different in terms of set up and mechanics.
In terms of balance, no idea.

The risk that at least one player would just nuke the Survivor for the lols is obviously too high for this to happen

Survivor should just help us wrap the game up like they're town

If there is a genuine Survivor out there they would be hurting both their own wincon and town's by claiming because them getting nuked is bad for us too at this point

How does it disadvantage town if the 3P claims. I don't really think the risk is that high that they get lol nuked as long as it's made understood beforehand that it wouldn't be okay for someone to lol nuke them.

It sort of dismisses the idea that we can coordinate or communicate because the lolz.
But besides Ircher who is going to die in the next say, 50 hours.
I don't see any other players nuking for the lolz as a serious move.

It felt good though, I'm not sure exactly if they had any actual idea how it helped afterward.
