Oh fuck you're right. I confused Chell's Norwee scumread with Chell's Owen scumread. In post 416, Andante wrote:
what's the question? 234 is talking about norwee's post not being scummyIn post 414, T3 wrote: How did you get from this to this to this?In post 234, Andante wrote:
there's literally nothing scummy about that post?In post 195, Chell wrote: that is the scummiest way ive ever seen someone present a pro-town strategyIn post 235, Andante wrote:
this is 2 scum talking to each otherIn post 150, UNOwen wrote:
Excuse me, I am very much the person who wants to hit buttons without thinking through every potential consequence. In post 142, Chell wrote: here's the thing unowen, you might just be a cautious person who doesn't want to hit buttons without thinking through the ramifications of every potential consequence
but "responsible nuke owner" is also a very convenient position for scum to take up
like scum usually don't have to be worried about being town read or not pissing off every single slot in the game
being conservative and lethal with your nukes is kind of a great way to play against that
so i mean it might be true that you are a special kind of person who has enough discipline to not immediately go for the rush of dopamine that comes from sending your upgrades in or launching a nuke
but i think on average it makes you greater than rand scum
But there is no dopamine rush to sending a nuke without the sense of righteousness and conviction about it. And don't see it on upgrades, if I knew for certain that I couldn't double up on a stat I would have sent them in already but even then it would hardly be comparable to trying to turn someone to nuclear ash.
None of this why you nuked me in the first place though? In post 259, Andante wrote: UNO more likely scum than chell-

I think the natural assumption is that once you sent it, you can't send another. You can abort it, but there's still the cost of producing the new one and re-setting it up.In post 378, Andante wrote: also, I genuinely do not see anything on losing my nuke after aborting it... yall messing with me? or am I useless?-

how is that the natural assumption? I assunmed it was just like voting logic, and the fact a bunch of nukes were already sent, like, why are people hipfiring nukes if we only get 1?In post 452, Ircher wrote:

This sounds like typical Firebringer to me.In post 428, T3 wrote: I feel like scum would really try to shitpost as hard as they possibly can in this game to delay discussion as much as possible so Firebringer shitposting on page 12 when asked a genuine question is weird. I mean, do you think that when the US military launches a nuke out of a missile silo and then they abort the nuke then the nuke just magically flies back to the missile silo?In post 436, Andante wrote:really wishing I didn't right about now... but to be fair it literally doesn't say anywhere you lose your nuke with aborting it..

Yes, but you had already acknowledged that before sending the nuke. Also, I don't personally see why you need to be around when the nuke lands. Why are you so uncertain and worried that you can't trust your instinct? In post 437, Andante wrote:

I understand nukes/guns are fun, but wait for people to talk to have options?-

It's nothing personal or specific to you. I just think the nukes should stay the course for maximum entertainment value. In post 446, Gamma Emerald wrote:Why is that a problem for you?

but no, I thought it was like "here's the plans to launch! we go in 48 hours!" then "abort!" = cancel launch.-

I dunno, I kinda see them as town as well.
But then again they are doing the Lord's work and trying to solve the 'I always scum read sky,' problem.....so with them possibly gone, less brainpower I have to waste there!
