I have played mafia on and off for 8 years and cumulatively have like 20k posts and i have literally never heard this before ever.
And while it seems weird to make up i think it's like... at least possible that you are indeed a traitor signalling given that you were like "my slot is mafia. i am a member of the mafia. my role pm is RED" earlier
