I said i am not 100% believing claim, but eliming here is more likely than not will result in unfavorable result just by pure mech reasoning.

Informed gives additional info.
Not confirmed means we don't know what info it gives, because informed flips without info. Therefore informed CAN give information to mafia like "ah yes there's no vig but we gived you bulletproof anyway" but we have no way of knowing that for sure.
