The sun rises again as everyone goes back to the center of town for a third day debating which two people should be sent to prison. Except this time,
a lot
less number of people shows up...

The Police Chief is also present and announces, "The interrogation process resulted in both prisoners saying that the other is mafia. So we went to the rock-paper-scissors death match method earlier this morning. Both prisoners threw down scissors, which is a tie. Hence both have been executed."

He continues to say, "Last night there were also two people found dead at their respective houses. One was Albert B. Rampage and the other was TonyMontana. autopsy reports showed that ABR was killed by pistol fire while TM was killed by sniper fire."

He concludes, "Well everyone, time for you to get back to work!"

Albert B. Rampage, Protown FBI Agent, killed Night 2
TonyMontana, Protown Vanilla Townie, killed Night 2
CarnCarn, Protown Vanilla Townie, executed Day 3

SlySly, Mafia Goon, executed Day 3

Albert B. Rampage Role PM wrote:You are an FBI agent. Once in the game, anytime during any day you may capture two players of your choice to be put into the Prisoner’s Dilemma via PM. The same special rules will apply to those prisoners as the prisoners being interrogated at night. The capturing will be publicly announced but your identity will not. The game will temporarily stop during the interrogation phase and the day will resume afterwards.
It is now Day 3. With 7 alive, 4 is the majority! The deadline is 5:00PM Eastern on Thursday, December 4th, 2008.
The end justifies the means.

Well... it's good that a mafia goon died, but I fail to see how that result helped us.

Ai ya. I will think and post more in the future.

Okay, so, assuming that there is a vigilante, they claim now? Or wait off? I, for one, in this setup, would give the benefit of the doubt to any claimed pro-town vig.

If the Vig (or sniper, whatever) shot ABR I certainly can't blame him, but if TM was shot I'd like to see the reasoning behind that.

I'm assuming ABR never got a chance to use his power.

I guess the town should also assume that there is two mafia left? Ok, well, first order of business: Does anyone have any information about N2?

This leaves me further from figuring out what the F is going on here than I was yesterday.

Umm, I
think
I agree that the vig or sniper or whatever should speak up... but... I'm not sure...

Let's talk this over first. Anyone else want to weigh in?

My immediate reaction is to think that mafia has a nightkill, a one-shot "superkill" used night one in lieu of their normal nightkill, and there is a vig who shot ABR. We also know that simply sending a town and a mafia to jail does not result in a N1 scenario, so OP is not necessarily mafia.

I am a pro-town 2 shot vig - and yes, I shot ABR.
Apologies, but from my read-through, he just seemed so... off.
I have 1 shot left, which I will probably use tonight.

Definitely gonna need to revise our plan if you're planning on shooting tonight, KoC. We've only got 7 alive. I will mull this over today and see what I come up with.

You know what else we need to revise? Our opinions of OP. I had a 1-shot bulletproof ability, and it saved me N1. That means THERE WAS NO MAFIA KILL N1.
OP, you have some explaining to do. Why did your fellow cellmate die if the mafia targeted me? And until you do so,

KoF...I have a couple of questions for you. I have a few problems with your claim, though I do agree with your conclusion.

First of all...
I am a pro-town 2 shot vig - and yes, I shot ABR.
Apologies, but from my read-through, he just seemed so... off.
I have 1 shot left, which I will probably use tonight.
On who? I think that with seven people left, we need to make sure that no one dies that isn't scum. Now that you've claimed, make sure that the rest of the town knows who you kill. We don't want any sort of...nasty suprises, like the one this morning.
You know what else we need to revise? Our opinions of OP. I had a 1-shot bulletproof ability, and it saved me N1. That means THERE WAS NO MAFIA KILL N1.
I have a major problem with this. Why wasn't this included in your original claim? Plus, why are you automatically assuming that it was the Mafia that killed you? Was there some sort of notification that told you it was the Mafia who targeted you? Please, explain your logic of why you believe that the Mafia made the attempt on you.

But, I do think that OP is the best choice to go after right now. His cellmate was killed; why?

Also, if there are any other pro-town vigilantes, now would be an excellent time to claim.

Force of habit.

What makes me think it was Mafia? look at the kill stats.
N1 - I was attacked, but it was blocked, and, unless he can prove otherwise, for now I believe OP killed with the Dilemma.
N2 - I shot ABR
- Mafia killed Montana (i presume)
- Our prisoners killed each other.

I'm willing to bet that, in a game with a chance of two kills a night without any mafia or vig intervention, there wouldn't be more than two non-PD kills - a vig (me) and the Mafia. That, Seraphim, is why I believe the Mafia attacked me, and that is my view on events unless anyone else wishes to claim kill-powers.
I didn't mention the vest because I made the first claim post during my first lesson at college, in which I had WiFi access, realised I'd forgotten the vest, and added it as soon as I got into another room with WiFi access - which wasn't until the last lesson of the day.

And while I am willing enough to listen to suggestions about who to use my last shot on, the final decision is mine, and I would prefer not to publicly announce it - in case we have a mafia RB - but I will if a majority of the town asks me to.

Query - if we think OP is scum who can kill the other prisoner, why are we putting him in jail?

I'm still totally unsure of whether we should be sending scum to jail or not. Personally, I think the best method for dealing with someone we think is scum, as of right now, is to have KoC shoot them. Therefore, we shouldn't send OP - KoC should shoot him.

Makes sense?

No. As far as I know, this is wrong wrong wrong. OP did not kill with the Dilemna. Some unknown broke in and killed the other person in the cell. There was no interrogation result for that night.

But, still, the fact that was OP was freed without having any sort of results from him...it smells fishy.

Also, if there is a Mafia RB, well, he already knows who to block, eh?

This is the player list.

Sending you, Knight of Cydonia, would be stupid. You are, simply put, our best hope for killing one of the scum right now.

I think the best way to find scum would be to send two town-ish players and have both of them say 'no' to the other. Then, have one choose daycop and the other one choose 50% daykill. The daycop investigation, at the least, will pull up some results on who we should send the next night. If we have a scum reading, use the daykill. Or, we could have two people recieve the 50% daykill and kill people they believe are scummy.

I'm willing to send myself, I guess. This plan is kinda rough, but it's the best I can come up with right now.

I think Seraphim is onto something. One daycop and one 50% kill seems like the ideal combination. I really feel like sending two town players to jail so they can equip themselves with superpowers
and
(excluding the N1 break-in) be protected from NK seems ideal.

I'll update that list as I do a reread. As of now I know I don't want to send OP or KoC. I'll look through the rest.

Seraphim, why do you think N1 kill wasn't from Orange? I think KoC's reasoning make sense if he is telling the truth.

I will believe KoC once everyone has posted and no one has counterclaimed.

I suppose it's possible that OP made the kill, but the flavor made it sound like someone had broken in to help OP out.

Still, unless something happens to change my mind, OP is most likely scum. It doesn't matter if he made the kill or if some sort of partner made the kill; someone wanted him out of jail.

...or, someone did have an unblockable nk, and used it indiscriminately night one to confuse us.

Atm, I'm with the shooting op plan, however.

I've never been too big on OP either, but going with Sly was certainly a bad call.

Actually, come to think of it, I misjudged three of the four of those people. So maybe OP is town just based on the fact that the opposite of what I think has a greater chance of being true, hehe.

I think the "superkill" is what through everyone off track, and I am back on board with the iceman/spring plan of purposefully trying to send townies to jail.

Send: Seraphim

My second vote reserved until later on in the day.

--

Another question though. Now that NoC's vest is gone, how do we all propose to protect him from scum? Unless there is a doctor role among us, which would make a lot of sense.
