Because it makes sense. Why don't you like it?
1. Read a day/night scene from any other DR game.

2. You are assuming the mod, an impartial third party, is not acting as such in a non-theme game.
Fair enough. I've seen games where the flavor can give clues, but I've looked at another one of his games, and I believe the meta.

I believe what Armlx said. We had opposing viewpoints, but he had a reference to back his up with.

Which games have you seen with clues in the flavor? I've seen 1, and it was a really convoluted one from years ago involving the kill methods of the mod-SK having the same initials as the mod + co-mod, leaving a clue to the players.

Again, theme game with weird ass issues.

It's a very backhanded kind of defense. Like if Alice calls Bob scummy, and Carl says "Yeah Bob is scummy, but not as scummy as Alice thinks he is," with the intent to get Alice to be less suspicious of Bob.

Tarhalindur expressed his suspicions of Seraphim in [482]. It seems logical to assume that, as a tracker, he would have followed Seraphim to confirm his suspicions.

Can anyone who's spoken about Dead's night scenes explain why they have a problem with me being suspicious of Seraphim from it, but didn't have a problem letting Sierra go on about determining which party made which kill based on information from the night scene?

Mostly it's games that have specific kill methods listed for each faction, such as this game apparently has. From this, I figured that it would not be too far gone to believe Massive's idea.

you are talking about two different things...Sierra is talking about how people were killed (assassinated, murdered, killed)...these ARE clues as to who is killing who..

you are taking something said in flavor (which DR has said does not tell us anything)...

I was thinking earlier in the day that Sera was scummy and coupled with Tar's suspension of him yesterday..I was ready to vote Sera..However, I was worried that maybe Sera was a vig...that was why I wanted to know who Sera thought was scummy yesterday....if Sera Said tar..maybe he was a vig....however, I never got the answer...

so now I dont know if I want to vote there or not..

I am hesitant now because of massive's vote based partially on flavor...I have seen plenty of scum try to use flavor to back up their scum reasoning.

now I just want to hear something for gorckat...before going forward.

I started re-reading last night adn got to page 8-9. I had hoped work would allow to read more today, but I won't be able to get any more reading in until tonight.

If anyone has outstanding questions to Sera, let me know so I can keep those in mind and try to answer as I'm reading.

Giving factional kill flavor is standard across most games, and FAR less revealing then saying "Oh, btw, here's some hidden info about who a dead person targeted last night".

I honestly can't believe I'm having this discussion.

Err, I was actually using the flavour too, to determine that Electra was killed by Ghostwriter. I know mods generally don't give out information like that in scenes, but they certainly don't lie about it, do they? Look at these fragments from the scene:
The joy of a tracker is to follow a player who performs a kill, Tarhalindur was very excited antecipating the revealing of his results.
GhostWriter was back in the hall, music is loud and most people are dancing.
He spots his buddie and nods. It's their code for "work done, Electra dead".
Either the mod is giving very clear hints about the night-actions in the scene, or he's actually
misleading
the players about the night-actions in the scene. The second would be bastard-modding, so I'm believing the first is true.

Massive argument is still not necessarily valid though, because he's presuming to be able to guess who Tar decided to track. I'll be looking back at Tar's posts later to see where Massive got this idea, but it will remain an educated guess at best.

Pages 7-12

Post 153 - ShadowGirl: Still don't like yet another defense of someone else here
Post 161 - Sierra: Wrong about "RV phase". There's plenty of time to get reads on people without using the "RV phase". There are games without "random votes" completely and they turn out all right
Post 166 - Tar: Good post. I like the last sentence
Post 176 - tajo: 1) Except you just agreed with Tar, added nothing. 2) Wrong, 3) Yes you did. Page argument again, gah
Post 179 - armlx: Exactly
Post 182-184 - skitzer: This seems like the type of reaction scum would have to a buddy's "random vote"
Post 194 - ShadowGirl: Out of RV for a while, why wait this long to take your vote off? I don't like calling of tajo's claim and stef's statement null-tells
Post 196 - tajo: This is the definition of WIFOM, tajo. Please get lynched, kthnx.
Post 205 - BA: Wow, you don't want to add
anything
? Have you added anything all game?
Post 213 - Ku_F: Not really anything said here.
Post 224 - BA: Really? That's the only reason?
Post 232 - ShadowGirl: This isn't helping
Post 233 - tajo: Try, but it's not going to work
Post 245 - EA: Please explain
Post 249 - BA: Really? That's it?
Post 252 - skitzer: This is a really strange post.
Post 259 - tajo: Wait a second... claim? You already did so? Also, this feels like fake anger to me. I don't like it
Post 272 - tajo: Oh look more WIFOM and then a doc claim. Let's lynch him.
Post 285 - ShadowGirl: This is a terrible post. Even if he is doc(which I seriously doubt at this point), he lied about it in a really scummy way. Lynch him.
Post 286 - Sierra: I don't like this post.
Post 292-293 - sekinj: Uh, what? It doesn't matter. If he's scummy enough, lynch him.

Thoughts at this point:
tajo was a good lynch.
Stef is scummy, ShadowGirl is scummy, BA is pretty scummy, skitzer is scummy, Sierra is scummy.

Expect more later today. I have to go to class soon

MOD, I know that every game I have ever been in that you modded (this would be the third) you have put this disclaimer (or something like it) on your every scene that you post...however, on yesterday's scene you did not.

can you please verify that this is indeed true for this scene? Because I am going on the basis of other games you have modded, but if you cant verify this, it changes things for this game
