If it seems necessary, I'd like to claim the idea for Gormenghast mafia. Not sure how long it will be until I have mod experience to actually run it, but I'll put my foot in the door. Looks like it will be a 12 to 13-player game.
Some of you may whisper my name, worried that saying it too loudly will call me back (no, I'm actually pretty sure none of you do).
Some of you may not remember me at all. That makes you kind of lame. Sorry.
Now, I'm back. Well, at least kind of. While I'm still to busy to effect a full return, I got the urge to write a themed mafia I'd long promised to one day write.
Get ready for... Good Omens Mafia!
I won't actually be running it, I'm writing it and then placing most of the running duties into the hands of the talented DragonSlayer, who co-wrote award-winning Discworld Mafia (and yes, Discworld Mafia 2 will appear eventually, we promise) with me. And who I'm sure all of you know because he didn't subsequently vanish like I did.
You can find more details in the signup thread, which should be up sometime tonight.
(And I'm really not sure if what I'm doing is proper etiquette, but I don't know about all these newfangled rules you might have.)
He cleared his throat. "Mister Flying Dutchman, from the land of clogs, tulips, mills, and cheese. The Oval Office recently concluded its first session, leading to a victory by the terrorist forces."
He took a minute to take off his glasses, wipe them, and put them back on.
"Sir Moderator of the Queue Boards for the Free Market Theme List, a plans for a second convention of the Oval Office are now in effect. However, with consolidation and changes with the administration now, the roles will be wholly different."
"Oh Great Moderator of the Theme List -- I hereby humbly request your approval for a second convention of the Oval Office -- with a total of twenty members to compose the President and his staff."
Lord Vraak graciously bowed out -- undeterred by the shocked glances that he received from around the room. How dare he start another Oval Office?
I chatted with FD and he cleared me to mod a game (have modded elsewhere). It will be themed Famous Canines. Will work on getting signups going sometime soon.
I'd like to claim these if not already claimed. I posted this list in mafia discussion, but forgot to post it here...
Magic: The Gathering
Half-Life
OS Mafia
Super Smash Brothers Mafia
Gaming Mafia
School Mafia

Not sure how many of these will become theme games, depends on whether or not I can get good roles set up for each theme...

Mastermind, the claim-idea is to avoid that a game you have almost entirely finished is claimed by someone else before you have a chance to run it. I'm afraid you can't put up claims like that, I don't think you have put enough work in it. Feel free to say if you have, though!
I'm just looking for a stamp, since sign-ups for this game won't go up until the new year, but I'm done with the design stage and into the writing stage of Trifia. It's a mafia game (that will look a little bit like Wacky's Paced game, because the space theme seemed to work best with the other moving parts), but also has a trivia game component, based on Dragon Phoenix's Dragonland games at the Grey Labyrinth. It's going to need 24 people, and I'd like to believe that DP would be willing to be among them.
FD, I modded a MiniReg and am co-modding Seuss II with jeep.
Am I missing something, or is there actually a real problem with two people running games with the same or simmilar themes one after the other? Or even concurrently?
Me and Phoebus will be hosting a medieval themed mafia after christmas sometime...so I'd like to claim that yea.....I think I did this right.
Captains and Kings may rule the world, but it is the presence of those we love and the memory of those we have lost, but who continue to live in our hearts, which bring beauty to living and make all that we do worthwhile.
Cadmium will be very happy to hear this, but I was somehow able to find an old version of a game setup I had on the back burner a LONG time ago, and so I would like to not only claim the idea but hereby petition for a Co-Mod for it... ready?
Illuminati Mafia
... based on the card game by Steve Jackson Games, of course. I will be tinkering away at the setup while I review possible Co-Mods, so if you're interested in helping Mod this sucker with me, please drop me a PM or email or whatever and let me know.

I'd like to claim Where's Waldo mafia. A large game with only one single mafia, and finding him will be about as hard as finding Waldo in the Waldo-land page. God, that one took me several trips to the toilet.
One person is Waldo. They will be the single scum member, or serial killer in this case. Another person is The Wizard, who will play the role of the cop. Another person is Wilma, the nurse. Everyone else are Odlaws, Waldo look-a-likes (townspeople). During the night, Waldo chooses someone to cane to death, Wilma chooses someone to save from caning, and The Wizard investigates someone. He will be told whether someone is an Odlaw (good) or Waldo (bad). During the day, the town may choose to lynch someone. It is the town's goal to "find" (lynch) Waldo.
It's basic mafia, except with only one mafia and a theme.
Since, surprisingly, it doesn't look like anyone's done it here, I'd like to claim
Boondock Saints
mafia to run at some future point when I have enough modding experience (or a co-mod, I suppose). Mostly normal mechanics, about 20 players... is this the right way to do this?
I'm confused on how the signups start for Free Market, but my Notes screen is starting to fill up with game ideas. Is it seriously just first-come, first-staked here? Assuming I found a Co-Mod, of course....
