In contrast, and perhaps a bit surprising, I am very happy with a Cabd+cat pairing.

I found that "disaster" remark Quite Odd, and I still don't feel like I understand why she presumably thinks a Datisi/Ydrasse PT would be bad for town or unfun for her. to me it kinda vibed like a vaguely pocket-y/fake-paranoia comment, it doesn't seem in line with what someone authentically townreading or scumreading Datisi would say, but I'll grant that I don't really know Ydrasse well enough to say that for sure, could just be her personality, and that I'm also probably biased cause I think Datisi is fairly town

Cabd is very good in a PT, Taly mostly uses them. So town Cabd will rock out for a day do some work and die..
Scum Cabd on the other hand is locked into a terrible postion and will need to make another member of his team actually good enough to carry.

Which... Maybe is possible maybe isn't.

But I see win-win here

RH9 is significantly more reticent than I would expect from him as town. Normally he's very expressive and inquisitive, even if indecisive and prone to discursive tangents.

I'm not sure if I'll be back tonight or not, but I can check in again tomorrow at the latest.

i don't know rh9 well since i've never played with him before, but i enjoyed his posts so far and i dont think any of them seem off.

i think this is a decent idea if talys confident in being able to read cabd.

I didn't think my explanation would change your initial feelings or prevent you from sharing them, if anything I thought it might help you clarify what you didn't like about it.
