Because doing so fosters more terrible, half-assed titles, which is contrary to the goal of titles themselves.

Ironically, in my most successful SK game (Muppets) it took me three tries to kill Pooky. I was never prevented from having a nightkill, it's just that two separate role mechanics redirected my kill from Pooky.
I replaced into Chess Mafia for 6 months, and all I got was a win and this lousy sig.
