i just don't think it's likely that the duel is good, especially since we know one of the duelists dues. if scum has to use their second sabotage then great. i don't think it's would be good game design to have the event be "haha you were supposed to be voting town into this but you had no real way of knowing"
i mean we've seen that design recently in silent star i.e. "you were supposed to be voting town all along" so it definitely happens
idk, i think maybe the assumption of this is good/bad is... it makes voting and doing things so trivial and irrelevant to me because it feels like flipping a coin of "oh this is good so i vote here" without knowing which means everything we do not matter and unreadable because it's weighed down by this context, so i feel strange seeing you apply it because like.
if it kills me, when i flip, you have set up a defense for yourself like "oh, i thought this because setup!"
I don't actually like twists that big to be honest with you. Plus my game isn't bastard to the same degree as a Silent Star game IMO

You can. Whenever an event causes something bad, there is NEVER going to be a reversal where "oooOoo it was actually positive".
Not even Event #1 -- it lets you see thru a window into your elims soul then decide to elim them or not. Can they be incidentally helpful to scum, yes, but same for town
Right now, trying to get two scum into the duel is the best play

i mean that would require scum to openwolf if 2 of their members are really scummy

There's...nothing that points to this?

I really don't think Stagehands know how events work, I feel that'd be broken
Maybe they can check one event and then sabotage it? But to know how they work entirely (I'm pretty sure they all have a twist) would be dumb
They do, although it's not as overpowered as you think. Most events dont involve deception or outlandish twists. Scum typically just has a heads up of what is coming but it's not exactly overpowered
I hope scum doesn't opt for the "Place bullet in slot 1. Shoot opponent. Done" approach as that is really boring and will make this phase and the next a landslide.
I really like the designs for events 1-8. 9-10 I'm a little less in love with. I like that 8 ties into 9, although the actual content of 9 is a little boring. 10 is just really weird and I dont know if it's a good or bad weird yet
So happy that there's been a lot of positive reception to the game itself! I'm always worried about what the players think, maybe a little too much
some serious IRL shit just went down. If I end up not being able to moderate for a period of time, are you available? I'm really sorry for the short notice on this. If not no biggie. But yeah. I can't guarantee I'll be here to mod for the entire remaining duration of this game so I just wanted to ask.
