Is there anyone capable of good reads this game or am I just wasting my time?

Is it not uncharitable to judge players for misreading you on a day zero page 20 when you had no control over the scummy actions of your predecessor?

Not a lot of game played.

Perhaps I'd leave Margarita out. I want to wait until I have more time, but I'm not sure if I'll be in time, which is why I'm weighing in somewhat hastily. I like Seafoam.

No opinion on the knight-speak posts, they're more observations about the setup.

First game-relevant post (342) has really solid reads and obviously dropping the gimmick in order to play is protown. Maybe this is more agreeing than townreading.

Fuck, that's the entire ISO? Now I'm less sure. Roughly 50-60% of the posts are mechanical observations or questions. The rest are reads which I tend to like. Not an impossibility for scum to perform although I liked it massive over Indigo #1. Indigo #2, I am less opposed to.

Sucks that scum who efforts on D0 feels like a pretty tricky find to me. Just not enough content.

Perhaps analyzing MAGENTA and Indigo would be more worthwhile. My current stance is that I am not really sure on Seafoam either way. When they give reads, I like them, they're good, they're agreeable. Does that make Seafoam not scum, of course not. And the mech has been NAI to me.

I see a push for Seafoam to be saved over Magenta from Indigo, lots of frustration..

Magenta throws out a ton of vibe reads, it's somewhat difficult to get a read off of them for that. I don't they've provided reasoning once. It's such an easy playstyle to scumread, whether Magenta is actually scum or LHF town.

They're not particularly concerned with convincing people so much as just stating their opinion as it comes. I don't know if that is how they play or if they struggle to do anything larger than that like fake a thought process.

Well, it looks like I will end up forming a palette with Seafoam or Indigo. To be honest, I'm already sort of made a choice. But it is something I'm not super happy about for reasons I can't really describe. Either way, I don't think I make it too deep into this game which is ok.
Also, I have some more thoughts on Lavender. I think she's trying to be helpful this game like a sort of support. There hasn't been a lot of reads from that slot and most of the posts are very "informative" (can't really think of the right word). Initially, I viewed that as sort of scummy, but I also think it can be a town playstyle (to some extent). Wondering how others are reading Lavender.

The only -town I've really seen from Lavender was how quickly Lavender accepted the dance. Otherwise the slot has been pretty +town to me, and she looks like she was genuinely trying to sort new Indigo.

Here's what I think is happening: Indigo and Magenta are both scum and are distancing from each other. Indigo is making underexplained and scummy arguments to play into my stated distrust of their slot to try to reverse psychology me into forming a palette with Magenta. The fact that they continue to offer little in the way of explanation makes me think they

want

their opinion to go unlistened to. Well, if it's a feint I'm not going to fall for it. If Indigo is scum with Magenta, I think Burgundy is plausible as the third, simply for their sketchy progression on a number of slots that they can't seem to back up.

So I'm going to propose to Seafoam. I feel bad for Rose, I really do believe they are town and I think I'm leaving them with no good choices. Had fate seen fit to give me a Cool role instead of a Warm one, I'd have snatched them up ages ago. Alas, the roll of the dice has not been kind to me. Of course, if I'm wrong I think Indigo should be given a chance to form real reads, and I apologize for my dismissive attitude. I'm simply going with what seems like the most plausible theory to me right now.

Why did I say what? I don't understand the question. I wanted someone to explain their read on you because a few people had called you town but no one had really justified it. I wanted some clarity so I could feel a little more comfortable with my decision, and also just so I could get someone to commit to some form of a read. The second part is just friendly banter.

I am the Soraka of this thread. This game is moving at a healthy pace with minimal fighting and I intend to do my best while here to keep it that way.

Nobody likes the fifty pages in twenty four hours pace that some recent games on site have ran.

And who can blame us? That is absolutely insane to try to read and process.

What are you thinking about when you make a decision between Marigold & Rose?

I'm thinking about whether they're someone who I can sort and who can sort me. I think on both counts Marigold might be coming out ahead - for the way I play I think Rose might be a bit too non-confrontational, which I think would make it difficult for either of us to read the other.
