a hyperactive I could see being a decent check but an actively scummy slot is like, bad play for an investigative looking to make an impact in mid- to lategame

Like he's being very close to the chest. He plopped down a vote on the biggest wagon at the time with wishy-washy language of "I'm not sure" and now is basically blaming me and saying that bc I'm scum reading him he's still scum reading me. His only other "scum read" is my biggest defender and I kinda got the vibe that he was hoping that my elim would go through then he'll argue that Norway knew I was town. Assuming Norway and dw are town then that means he's failed to vote a single scum. His hunting is extremely limited this he's prob scum.

confirming whether a slot is scum in the early game sheds a lot of light on the opinions surrounding them while an inactive doesnt give anywhere near as much information. you go from turning someone who could be an easy miselim for scum into either a lockscum + a ton of info or a confirmed town that the maf is forced to kill like nero said. idk why thats bad.

eh I've always kinda been in the camp that you want to try to save your cop results for massclaim to reveal them all at once and add a bunch of clears
checking someone who is liable to get run up in the near future makes it so you might have to claim to get them off the block if you find that they're town
