I'd assume it's because of:

1. It's an ability that's physically stuck with the Godfather. Unlike other skills, this is permanent.

2. The mafians on a whole decide who to kill and thus there is no one Godfather.

Either way, I don't believe CoCam, so my vote is going no where anytime soon.

Being a thief that steals a role's equipment makes sense to me. Does the thief gain the stolen abilities?

But being a kobold certainly makes you anti-dwarves by flavour.

Ack.

Don't answer for other people - it doesn't matter whether or not you suspect him.

Coheed, answer the question still.

Althought I'm not sure what much Coheed could say - he's claim has pretty much damned him.

For clarification - in Dwarf Fortress, there are only ever Kobold thieves, who steal items, and Goblin thieves, who steal babies. Since no-one here has babies, I assume, CoCam is a kobold. His claim is believable, and scum. Hammer now please. No more discussion needed here.

Kobolds are exclusively badguys in DF?

Well then, I don't see much possibility of Coheed being town, with his behavior and claim.

I support a hammer.

Oh yeah.

I feel I owe everyone huge apologies for my somewhat lacking activity over the last day or two. I will endeavour to catch up on the stuff I missed, but for now I might as well hammer - kobolds are
never
good guys. Never ever ever. I took one look when I was skimming through the last couple of pages at Coheed's claim and I was certain it was a lie.

Unvote, Vote: CoCam

And now we just await the lynch scene.

I have some thoughts on who to look at Day 2 if I get NK'd.

Most notably, look into Pesco and Reborn.

Echoing what cyberbob just said, sorry for not posting here yesterday, I was caught up with marathon day.

I don't like how knight of cydonia said "Hammer now please. No more discussion needed here", since there were still a few things that could have used clearing up, and discussion is always good (and Coheed didn't answer iLord's question either). Normally, scum would want a quick hammer to prevent the town from getting more discussion in.
FoS: Knight of Cydonia
. Same thing for iLord and Cyberbob.

Although, I agree that Coheed is probably scum, especially since he just seems to be giving up the game, but we could have still asked for a defense and might have gotten more information.

@AW: What type of information do you think we could've gleamed?

In theory, long days benefit the town.
In practice, long days are actually harmul to the town.

Right now, I'm about 80% sure that he's scum, and if he gave a defense that was pretty bad, it would have given a chance to confirm his scumminess. If his defense was good, we could have had more discussion about whether or not he was scum.

Anyways, do you think one of us should PM Claus to tell a lynch happened?

Nah, Claus will come when he comes. You can PM him if you really want to.

I suppose he could've been scummier, but what was piled on him was damning enough that the possible additional information would not be significant.

In fact, I actually think that our haste is beneficial to the town, as faster days keep the town from being bored. One of the most dangerous situations a game can delve to is one where the townies lack motivation to make analysis. Many games have been snatched away from the hands of townie victory by an apathetic town.

I'll answer that question now, seeing as I'm going to die. I don't keep the abilities. I just steal them away. Go town.

Well, if he turns out to be town, let this serve as another example of "don't try to outguess the mod".

Wow, that sucks.

That must be the most anti-town town role (A kobold role-thief?).

@AW: It's not only the kobold part, but the role-thief part as well. It's just as much guessing the mod as claim analysis that lead us to his lynch.

When did we try to out guess the mod? I just voted CoCam because he was suspicious. Heck, if you're trying to out guess the mod, you're already screwed. Meantime, I wouldn't assume this to be bastard mod set up since I don't see an extreme difference in advantage for any side right now, so I'd just say it's a case of the Dark Knight Syndrome.

In other words, your role name sucks and looks scummy, but you're town. This is done to avoid having Clouds always be town and Sephiroths always be Mafian and thus causing a bit of a game break.

I still won't believe CoCam to be town until we get the death results.

Yes, but a bunch of people included "being a kobold" as a main reason for voting Coheed, not just "being a role-thief".
Well, we won't know what his alignment is until the mod comes, so let's not jump to conclusions too quickly.
Ramus wrote: When did we try to out guess the mod?
See above. Some people (especially Cyberbob) voted Coheed mainly because he was a kobold.

In flavorful games, generally the "Dark Knight Syndrome" won't happen, unless its an entire "Dark Knight" scumteam.

For example, in a flavorful FFVII set-up, Cloud and Sephrioth would not be on the same side.

I thought that Kobolds and Dwarfs were like Shinra and AVALANCHE.

Coheed has no motivation for saying "go town" as scum, so I'm very inclined to think he's telling the truth.
