Why shouldn't DT be considered a tell, again? I mean other than the fact you flaked it?

Are you really this obtuse? My daytalk isn't forged, I omitted worthless bits from it. How is that so hard to understand? How is that scummy? THERES A BIG DIFFERENCE BETWEEN MY DAYTALK AND ICEMANS. If you actually can not see this, then I pity you for having to piggyback off others because you're incapable of figuring it out for yourself. If you can, then you are an idiot.

The daytalk thread of four people will be much different then the daytalk thread of two people because it will be fabricated. So the content as well as the little things, like days and times will show who has forged their daytalk and who has been honest.
Question, walt: how do you know that scum have four-way day-talk only?
AFAIR, that was never mentioned in the scum role PM that destructor provided a sample of.

It is in post number#2 of this thread.

When I cut it from the QT I didn't include the text of destructor's post, just heading part accidentally. that messed me up when I was cleaning up the formating later. I used Excel so I could wipe out all my real words in one column while keeping the names, dates and post numbers. Then I went back and put in the paraphrase with the QT open beside it. I messed with the formatting like I said, and I guess I messed the post# colum up by moving it up one, but I didn't go through and re-number. *shrug* make what you want of it.
I am familar with excel, how does the post number go into a seperate column? I don't know that function. In otherwords here is how it appears in daytalk.
sekinj 1 08-04-2008 12:40 AM ET (US) hello neko
The post number (1) is after the authors name (sekinji), so if you were to post it in cell a1; Sekinj would be first followed by #1. I don't see how a seperate column would be created? I'm not saying it's a big deal, it is curious to me though.
If you paste it into Excel it automatically puts things into seperate columns, that is why I used excel. Try it and you should see what I mean.
All the words were in one column, so I could just delete that whole column instead of manually deleting each line of real discussion. But, I apparently cut and/or pasted it wrong. To get everything one off, I would have had to renumber every single one of my posts, which I didn't do. I apparently just scooted the whole column down by one when I was tryign to fix the formatting (which was messed up with spacing and background graphics). I also moved the date over, and then sorted it by date so that it would end up oldest to newest. I really can't tell you exactly what went wrong because it was just a typing error.

Well, I'll see who armlx scumpartners are. If you guys lynch me, please go back over what I said, realize that I didn't do anything anti town (this entire game) and maybe take my suggestions into consideration. Certainly don't listen to anything armlx says, it will be lies to manipulate you into lynching more townies.

Oh, look at what I found, armlx wasn't on icemans wagon, and was on Kloud's and HP's. Now he's on another townie's as well! Are the rest of you guys going to let him get away with lynching townies at will? Seriously?

vote: BM

They've had plenty of time to post daytalk. Clock is obviously trying to stall because BM hasn't posted anything, and Clock doesn't know what happened until he's done rereading. He is probably scrambling to skim through and create some sort of daytalk right now. This is exactly the sort of thing this daytalk-posting is designed to catch.

Thoughts on other daytalk:
Thad's and DBE's daytalk is pretty sparse, but, considering how little DBE has been here, I suppose that makes sense.

RR's and WWB's is thorough, and as far as I can tell, believable and accurate. Very protown vibes from them.

Armlx and SP- even more sparse. The lack of dt before armlx makes sense due to pacman's nonexistence in the game, but the lack of dt upon his arrival is questionable.

Darox et al.- lines up with OF's and wolf's comments throughout the game. See, Darox has successfully paraphrased his predecessors' daytalk. Clock is failing to do the same.

Ceph and Charter- Not sold on the believability of their dt, but maybe it's just because of the style in which it was written? I do note, however, how defensive Charter is getting over it. Leagues away from Clock, but should be watched.

Crazy and KoC- very similar to C&C in style. I see no reason that this dt is any more believable than theirs, really.

Clock and BM still need to post something, and TS/adelreplacer do as well unless I missed it.

You have the same role, and therefore the same motives as they did. It doesn't explain away you're being way too terrible in this game if you were town.

I've explained why I thought HP and kloud were scummy. I'm explaining why there's no way I could have voted icemanE/FS.

And I notice the vast majority of your attacks on me and your defenses include phrases that just say "X is scum" and "I am town" with no logic behind them. Just trying to develop a false association here / appeal to emotion?

Just wondering, what do you expect pro-town players to be day talking about? What information do they have that would be better off hidden?

I could put a ton of effort into defending us from WWB, but quite frankly I don't see how it'll make any difference. If we get lynched over this BS, then we will, and if not then great.

If we are lynched, look at armlx, possibly WWB + Darox, and everyone else who ignores Clockwork to pursue me/charter; that's where you'll find BM/CWR's buddies if they're mafia. Seriously, this is so bad I don't see how a protown player could want to vote anyone else.

I would assume that everyone would take advantage of the opportunity to share thoughts and check their suspicions against their partner's to see what they agree on, and what they don't. Sek and I have disagreed on a few things, but we've at least been able to get some feedback from somebody we know is guarenteed to be town. You don't get that with many other games.

I personally would rather do that in thread. Reactions from non-confirmed people to suspicions are a lot more important then those of a confirmed IMHO.

That's why my partner can, you know, also post in thread.

That said, the outside communication is good for things like Adel + DGB did with RR.
