I'm ok with the Titus wagon as well I think (not a huge fan of the contents of her posts, and still weirded out by the post restriction thing that I don't think she's even addressed), but I don't want to be the one to push her to E-1 yet.

If we're actually taking this possibility seriously I'd be down to try it as a weird gambit, but I can't really shake the feeling that it's just going to end with us needing to eliminate grendel tomorrow regardless.

I mean, possible scenarios:

Grendel kills target of our choice, they flip scum -> cool, grendel can stay, but what's the chance this happens with all the factors in play?
Grendel kills target of our choice, they flip town -> ??? I think we have to kill grendel
Grendel doesn't do anything -> maybe mafia RB or mafia saving role? or maybe grendel is scum lying about getting blocked. so what do we do here
Grendel kills someone else -> I think we have to kill grendel here too obviously, but problem is if there's some sort of redirecting role out there this is a way for mafia to force a miselim on town!grendel

I feel like these are the things we are going to need to address (as well as coming up with a target for grendel) if we want to make a plan on this and go with a different elimination today.

That’s why I kinda want mass claim the type of PR you are, not exactly what you are.

Eg if tracker >> invest
If Joat >> Joat
If Mason >> VT/no power
If informed/Oracle >> Oracle
If protective (doctor) >> doctor
If blocker >> Blocker
If day power >> day power

A majority of people have already outed their flavor or power so I think this only hurts scum and doesn’t give them enough for any soup

There’s a reason for this. Not being a full claim ties scum to a fake claim without knowing what could damn them.

Based upon what people say we can use that to backtrack if a roleblocker is possible (no one has said blocker yet which is one of the types) so we can poke around and see what PRs could.

If all the scum claim miscellaneous for example to try to get out of the mass claim then in elo when true claims happen scum get wrecked. Because the town would have knowledge about who to act on based on role claims.

Eg Grey said Misc/Invest. This means if he scumread say Cassoway (making this up they aren’t a scumread) and was a rolecop and got Tracker on Cassoway. That means there is a tracker in the game. And on Cassoway doesn’t make sense because misc. Then if no other invest claims he can then know he was likely bus driven to a scum tracker or Cassoway lied.

Similarly if Grey is a tracker and invests Misc Cassoway to the kill, then can ask for a full claim and if it makes no sense for Cassoway to go to the kill as miscellaneous win win same reason.

By half claiming this enables town to know who exactly they can check with the best result. But since it’s not a full claim scum don’t know who the threat is.
