For scenario 1? Unless you're playing it on super high difficulty you shouldn't be getting 10 xp extra. I'd double check that, it should be 6 if you're playing level 1 monsters. Either way, that's much more normalised. The Spellweaver should be able to keep up even still, they can bring back most of their powerful lost cards so make sure the person playing knows they can be a bit more agressive losing cards.
Okay, I finally saw my parents yesterday after they went to my sister's for Christmas, and my sister's in laws were there who I don't trust to follow Covid guidelines, but, I got Marvel Villainous from my sister. I took a quick glance, and I have no clue what to make of it. Or even really what it is other than the fact that I'll likely be playing Killmonger just because he's a cool ass character.
I'm just going to make a list of games I have but have not yet played which I will need to do when I have the appropriate amount of people and the time to do them:
1. Brass - Birmingham
2. Cosmic Encounters
3. Dominion with Adventures expansion
4. Some weird Justice League board game I've had for years but have never played and don't remember the name of
5. Marvel Villainous
Not as bad as I thought.
I've only made one good post, and don't you dare accuse me of doing it again.
New Gloomhaven question, I was working from home yesterday, so, of course, did lots of Gloomhaven watching and downloaded a manager app because I love using my phone for that.
There's what I would describe an eyeball class unlocked in the app. That's not a starting class, right?

the story in forgotten circles is much more in depth, and woven into the scenarios, which i really like. its easy to barely notice the story in base gloom.
they also tend to take way longer though, which is a problem when you're trying to get a full scenario done in one game session.
Smooth as silk when he's scum, and very much capable of running things from behind the scenes while appearing to be doing minimal effort. - Almost50
Xtoxm is consistently great - Shosin
you were the only wolf i townread at endgame - the worst
I've heard really good things and that's why I bought it but it's just so intimidating how much there is in the rule book. And it's competitive so unlike Gloomhaven where we're just working together to figure it out as we go, my fiancée and I are a little worried about getting that one right

Brass is an amazing game for the right kind of person (which I am). I know lots of people that hate it. Be careful when picking who to play with. It can be quite mean.
Yeah, there are also a few games I thought when we moved into our own place, I'd be able to play with people on game nights (Cosmic Encounters) but, we moved in March 1, 2020 in New York. Two weeks before the shut down started.

So we had a positive test in my office and are staying in while I make sure not to infect, last night the fiancée and I restarted our two player Gloomhaven with her on Scoundrel me on Brute. Turns out we both took a quest that gives us the sun class. What happens if we finish it with it already unlocked?
Also I finally did everything right and it's more fun. Have 26 exp because we got ten from our road event

Whoever unlocks it gets first crack. Other retirement is just a wasted reveal unfortunately. You could house rule and draw a new retirement card so you are at least making it more exciting for yourself

See page 48 of the rulebook: Unlocking a character that has already been unlocked earns a random item design and side scenario.
I did see that we get a bonus item design and side scenario in the rules. I might just stick with it hers is alot harder to get since she needs a specific axe so I might be done with the class by the time she gets it

My fiancée refuses to read the rules because they're too long and I am not good at remembering them. However, I did replace the enemy cards with a phone app and it makes things go much more smoothly
