Idk. Maybe I believe too much in the good side of people or whatever but it would seem outlandish to me to fakeclaim a full doctor of all roles, place the hammer, defend the claim up and down and especially in a game where we already have 3PRs on the table right now -- would scum dare to do that? Would it be worth it to ask a possible other protective to "counterclaim", seeing if we have a doc its out on the table already, or is that incredibly dumb?

Lying about your role seems like a thing Kazyan(Alch's claim of cop) so the significance is he's maintaining the claim despite it...i think

Decided to take a look at PenguinPower voters. Since I'm the only one playing right now anyway.

* Elements voted in 260. When asked why, the answer was "I've still got a large chunk of the player list to get through" (266) which implies it's not serious.
* NPOM voted in 330 complaining about a "free pass". Penguin voted NPOM in 302 and refused to comment on anything else.
* Kazyan voted in 347. Apparently this was a pressure vote
* Lunar Martian voted in 492 for buddying Dannflor and coasting.
* NPOM revotes in 502? Even though he was already there.
* Kazyan rejoins in 521, reason unstated.

I didn't remember there was this much movement on Penguin. I'll look at these more in depth tonight.

Well, I took a step back for a bit to see if anything would happen without the IC sheeping excuse but I'm just pretty disappointed.

I do have some thoughts I'll unload here in a little bit. It's likely my last day alive so it'll be important.

This is where I'm going to wish I had more experience on the site. How are power roles generally distributed? is the Macho cop/doctor combo to strong for most minis? I realize it's a closed setup but I'm unsure how the site balances. These questions are for Dann since he's only one that can give me a guaranteed town view.

It's not a particularly strong combo. I mean, having both a cop and a doctor is strong, but the cop being macho prevents the combination from being breakable. A macho role also generally indicates some kind of town protective role. In light of Alchemist's flip, Hayker's claim is less credible.

I'm also very suspect of town having a bulletproof townie, a JOAT with Penguin's Power (hehe), an innocent child, and ALSO a full ungated doctor.

I can't get anything else from the Elements vote (260) The self-imposed vote restriction is extremely aggravating.

NPOM's vote is rather suspect. He doesn't mention Penguin in his iso at all until Penguin votes him, then he's suddenly suspect enough of Penguin to vote him in return. That vote remains for the majority of the day.

Kazyan's vote, like most of their play, doesn't make a lot of sense. A pressure vote with 0 interaction behind it generates scant pressure. Kazyan spent the time between the vote in 347 and the eventual unvote in 435 talking mainly about themself (declaring victory, oddly enough). Elements did us a favor by asking what information was gained, and Kazyan responded talking about Alchemist. I'm honestly not sure what to make of any of this.

I actually agreed with Lunar's vote in 492. I read Penguin's play similarly - he seemed too buddy-buddy with Dannflor for my taste and I also agreed the Penguin seemed disinterested in providing much to the thread. Given the flip I guess Penguin was just trying to make more of an impact in the nightgame.

Kazyan's vote to rejoin the PenguinPower wagon late is, again, somewhat baffling. It seemed to be wagoning purely for wagoning's sake, though I'll grant it's on a slot that Kazyan claims at least somewhat scumread.

I noticed PP was kind of standing pat and not really scumhunting, and using his and PZs mod status as an excuse to not to have to try.

Obviously, I was wrong on PP, but the idea that PP was on me first is just flat out wrong.

I was trying to explain what I thought HWS's logic was. Hayker is holding to a claim of Doctor despite other a JOAT and BP role having been revealed. Now this would be a pretty outlandish thing for him to claim, scum would realize it was outlandish. So is he town or scum because of this? in short, WIFOM. I'd like to hear more from HWS though.
