i've come to the conclusion that no eliminating is not a good idea. the simple reason is that we NEED a scumflip. like alisae said, we want to know what alignment wants what in terms of original setup, and thus no eliminating denies us a scumflip and provides us with no way out if our mechanical plan fails for any one of a myriad of reasons.

Honestly, I'd try for pairs. We know if one dies, the other is imposter.

I think we can get more done operating in pairs and getting tasks done than having larger groups.

This does assume all kills are announced, but treat it like lovers maybe? If one dies, make sure their partner is eliminated.

Best of both worlds I guess?

Scum have a vanilla NK so we want obvtown paired together in this case so they can’t have it be hard to tell who was the extra kill (unless they want to play super suboptimally and kill TWO less townread players)

Here’s the thing with this and why Reck being the lone loose cannon isn’t a problem. If the groups are done right either Reck joins a room that already had a good number of people, or he is STUCK BY HIMSELF WITH ABSOLUTELY NO COMPANY. AKA HE STILL CANNOT KILL ANYONE EXTRA.

because it relies solely on the assumption that the mod designed a game that is completely breakable by mass claim day one

which is not what shea did, because it's shea

scum absolutely 100% have powers/ways to fuck with room assignments. there are vents to hop between rooms unseen. there are sabotages to force people to specific rooms or we lose the game. etc. tons of mechanics that are THEMATICALLY SPOT-ON that would fuck us with a mass claim. especially once scum know exactly where everybody has to go to complete tasks, they can use their bullshit to fuck with us in a major way

i'm not participating in this. i swear, towns on MS nowadays are WAY too quick to just vomit forth any information they want and hand scum a free informational advantage on a silver platter.
