Elmo, it was ran as a Open Game a while ago. I would be interested in seeing it ran again though.

Once a majority vote is reached, the Mayors have X hours to PM the mod to stop the lynch, if they so wish. If the lynch is stopped, the would-be-lynchee is unlynchable for the rest of the Day. Mayors get one pardon per day, and cannot pardon themselves.

yeah, but what he's saying is that if they don't lynch the Mafia Mayor D1, then he can just continually pardon his fellow mafia members if they are going to be lynched

It's Nightless. 4:7 isn't terrible.

But there's no reason for the Town-Mayor to ever pardon anyone. So it just becomes "If anyone is ever pardoned, they are Mafia. Ignore them, try to lynch them at the beginning of every 'day' to get rid of the pardoning ability, and continue with the game as normal."

(But just having a semi-unlynchable Mafia member would make the scum win percentage go up quite a lot, I would think.)

Specifically I don't like the potential for the jailkeeper to play a guessing game with the scum over whether the (outed) cop will be jailed vs. allowed to investigate. Not in such a small game.

The idea sounds pretty interesting to me. I'd definitely play.

I don't really know anything about balance, though. Someone else has to help there.

And... question, if the Lynch-proof is "lynched," does the day end with No Lynch, or does the day go on? But then again, it probably won't make any difference because the Lynch-proof would claim before he was lynched anyway.

Oh, the day would end with no lynch I think, although that could be up to debate. However, if he is confirmed by the mod to be Lynch-proof, then the mafia would kill him overnight, for almost certain.

I'm thinking about a CS mafia, but I dunno how it would work.

You are the counterterrorists, along with X. You're like a mason kinda, but you have a vig kill each night. You're town aligned though.

You are the terrorists. You and X and absolutely hate the little town of de_inferno, and you're out to destroy it. How, you may ask? A bomb, that's what.
The bomb, doesn't exactly know it's a bomb, so you need that bomb to get to the endgame, in which you blow it up. If the bomb is lynched, YOU FAILED, and must eliminate townies by regular means (ie: lynching). The bomb can only be set off if somebody's there to set it off, in other means, if there's no terrorist to set it off, it's not going off. You have no NK.

8 other townies, one of which is the bomb.

i think it could work but i don't know what to do with the bomb, because I'm afraid that people will be searching nonstop for bombs.
