I play to maximizing chance of achieving wincon. We are objectively in a bad spot right now. My current reads are a bit disrupted by Norway flipping. I think if we can get 40% chance of winning that is incredible because scum controls so much of town right now. If we could do something provably random than I would rather just do that, but that’s obviously against the rules. So we should pick as close to random as possible I think that maximizes the chance we win, rather than talking it out as a group and selecting whatever the majority believes (influenced by not 1 but 2 likely fast playing scum).

i think at this point i should clarify that I was entirely trolling at the beginning of the game, I obviously didn't have reads as confident as I said I did, there was no way to distinguish between the non-posters, im surprised people didn't think I was trolling. i continued the tunnel on norway because I think this kind of format encourages town to be brazen and deathtunnel to the end to ignore scum influence. the obvious flaw in this plan is that the elim is less likely to go through if norway is scum and more likely to go through if he is town, but I didn't see much towntelling from norway and felt that other players were reasonably townie including you

i imagine if word was scum he'd have already worked out his quickhammer plan during Day 2. If he was scum with Deimos, I'd be even more certain, as both are very smart players. I'm not keen on these kind of "he was logged in for 10 minutes and didn't post" tells - not very reliable.

this was less than half an hour into day2 when damos hadn't been online, i don't think they would've planned that far ahead there's really no need

I feel like especially with his reaction youtube post and having been online for a bit he really only should've posted that if he had just seen the thread, not if he saw the thread, did other stuff for a bit (e.g. posting in the PT), then decided to post the reaction youtube post.

It's not a big tell but i think it's more likely from scum!word than town!word.

So the fact that word was here and didn't post or tell me to unvote when he clearly said we shouldn't vote in a ELo situation is scummy, regardless of whatever plan you think they might've had.

i think given what we know, it seems likely that scum just kind of had a field day when the three of us (me, you, Norway) just started ratcheting up posts and tunnelling each other. the game is dead apart from the three of us because scum don't really need to do anything when the most active posters are just kind of strangling each other to death

i don't even know that town as a whole did anything obviously wrong, although I am open minded about this if people want to make the case town should take all the blame

imo the biggest factor in this game was luck, me randomly deathtunneling a townie on d1 and two other townies hopped on was obviously handing scum the game on a silver platter. but imagine if i had deathtunneled Deimos randomly instead of you; we probably would've won immediately like battle mage thought. that was a risk of my strategy i was willing to accept at the time given the low empirical town WR for this setup

not to say there weren't things we can all improve on, but i think people in general HAVE TO blame losses or wins on specific causes when really most of the time the predominant factor driving results is just variance
