I think people are really jumping the gun with the accusing people of being racist here. Like... Nero Cain isn't being racist by saying that the word Lynch isn't racist in and of itself, while still acknowledging the connotations its picked up over the past couple centuries, and actively agreeing with the change, like.... There are several very clearly ACTUAL racists posting god awful takes in here. Maybe direct your vitriol there instead?

But there are a lot of idiots that will make the exact same argument about the n-word:
