I'm not counting on game mechanics. I'm saying that if votes lead to an increased chance of the voted person dying, than votes would have a meaning. Not as strong as in a usual game (there would be no hammer, for example), but nonetheless a meaning.
Obviously potato throwing would have less a meaning than it has now. There's a trade-off there.

You see, in the potato-throwing system throwing a potato means a lot, but most people don't get to throw potatoes, depending on how the triggers work people might not receive/throw a potato all game.
In the piling-potatoes-on-voted-people system the individual vote brings less "guilt", but more people can participate.

I could see both systems working, which is why I don't get how we had 20 pages of discussion about the issue when it's obvious that the system that requires everyone to agree with it is not a majority opinion.

Turns kuribo into a giant sweet potato

The difference between my unsourced post and your unsourced post was that mine
gave an opinion
. Yours gave nothing but prophecies of doom.

q21, I don't need porochaz to agree with me on kuribo, since I've got the potato and I have yet to see anything from kuribo to make me want to not try to kill him. But if he has some reason to think so, I want to know what it is, so I can evaluate it and throw my potato more intelligently.
I think it's pretty clear that TSS's awesomeness did alter the roles each of us recieved, and thus he's obviously pro-town. -- Save The Dragons

An unsourced opinion is not a valid opinion, it's simply guesswork.

i'd love to see you put your money where mouth is. Oh, but look! As soon as you get a whiff of that potato, you're tossing it away again!
I see less votes on me then either TSS or Kuribo.
You yourself said that the number 2 was subject to change in the event of your plan taking place. The fact you are recieving the potato, and are, of late, the player gaining the most heat by far, should, by your own standards, be enough for you to commit suicide.

She has, and I have noted this. Kuribo comes in ahead of Riceball solely due to the fact Riceball offered up the flawed, but existant alternative of just playing hot potato over mafia.
Surely that is exactly what Kuribo is putting into practice? I dont like how you seem to be selecting the minimum number of targets, when a good townie should naturally cast the net wide. And on weak reasoning too.

How is 'playing hot potato' a viable alternative?
How is
VOTING
viable? It's an even bigger waste of time than trying to pass the potatoes around. I still don't know how you can imagine voting ever working in a system like this. The only ones who know they should work as a team are the scum, the rest don't know who they should trust, as they do not have any information about anyone else.
We don't know if the scum have an NK.
There is no lynching mechanism.
This is not kingmaker/executioner.
This is a game of hot potato where there are teams, and one of them knows who their teammates are, the other(s) do not.
M4yhem makes a valid point. I lol'd. :D

Why would the scum not have an NK? I see no reason to infer this, and it stinks of hidden knowledge. This has been mentioned before now, but who suggested it first?

"Uh-oh... spaghettio."

These were armlx's last words before being splattered all over the floor.

armlx, Potato Factory Worker, Townie, has been killed on Sunday by a Sweet Potato at 6:19 Central District Time.

It is now
Night One
. Night choices are due on August 6, 11:59 pm Central District Time.

After all that blood and gore, everyone decides, quite reasonably, to take a nap right there in the factory, where they can keep an eye on everyone else. Or, where they would have been able to keep an eye on everyone else, if they hadn't all been sleeping. Ok, so it wasn't a perfect plan.

One of the members of the town does not wake up. Several people yesterday had been killed by potatoes, so you wouldn't think anything would surprise you anymore, but as it turns out, you were wrong. Battle Mage died silently in his sleep, victim to what appears to be one old, stale french fry, which was somehow stabbed through his chest and into his heart. Well, they always said those things would kill you.

As you systematically loot his belongings (because, hey, what are co-workers for?) you discover that this man, who had worked side by side with many of you for years, had apparently been pilfering potatoes from the factory all along! Gasp! That being said, there's no reason to suspect him of murder, and you quickly come to the conclusion that
Battle Mage(Butterfingers) was a pro-town potato thief.

Also, when you wake up, several members of the town suddenly discover that they are holding hot potatoes. Ouch! Those things are hot!

CoheedCambria09 is holding a Baked Russet potato.

kuribo is holding an Instant Potato.

Dripping Goofball is holding a Yellow Potato.

And M4yhem is holding a Yam.

It is now day 2.

Luigi catches the instant potato. He gets ready to throw it to someone else, but the stuff seems stuck to his hands.

"Man, I hate this instant potato crap...wait...what's that sound..."
