OMG this back and forth between Strapp and Mirth is crazy.

Will people PLEASE PLEASE stop soft claiming? Would you hint you're a cop in a normal game? Of course not. So since this is some silly theme it's okay to out yourself like that? What purpose did that serve? And what's worse is like 90% of the people in the game have been doing it. What the hell?

2.) I think it is true for now because it hasn't helped him yet, but I would suspect it to be false if the bridgekeeper suddenly shows up and and confirms spyreX, because it would look very scummy
I dont trust the bridgekeeper at this point. So, I wouldn't tout that as a confirmation of me, for sure.

I guess I should comment about the bridgekeeper business...

Do I believe Spyrex? I think so. It seems like a really complicated gambit for scum to make, so yes, I don't think he's lying about being visited by a bridgekeeper who can ask him three questions. Is bridgekeeper too powerful a role? I don't know. If we are dealing with multiple scum groups (since it looks like we have a cult), then the town might have to be pretty highly powered. So I don't think I would assume the bridgekeeper is anti-town.

As far as strappado soft claiming (is that the right word for what she did?), I don't think that was a good idea. I think associating yourself with any characters or roles is only going to help the scum. And I question why she did it.

We're too assume she knows this from a night action, so it couldn't have been day 1.

While strappado seems to be too busy trying to buy sex toys and further demonstrating the need for a more agressive War Against Pornography, a few of you manage to continue playing mafia where the disappearing man seems to be the lead contender for the time being.

A few guesses about the bridgekeeper based on the movie (take all this with a grain of salt)
1. Perhaps the questions are not preset, the bridgekeeper picks them (like in the movie?)
2. Perhaps there is some benefit for the investigated (like how they got to go onward)
3. Perhaps the penalty for lying is death (as in the movie)
4. Perhaps the bridgekeeper dies if asked a question ( as in the movie)
5. Perhaps the bridgekeeper does not actually know whether the person lied or not (because the mod may be a bastard and this might be for balance)

You shouldnt have said that.

LG, not role speculation, more like trying to figure out what exactly Strap is up to.

Oh, speaking of role speculation, I still want a claim from Iron Man.

whatever. I dont know what you're looking for, already told you the truth...twice. Spelled it out as clearly as I could, and that's all there is. I'm not sure why you're so hung up on it. I dont see any benefit you think I'm getting or got by doing that...unless you really believe I was "testing out" possible fake claims for later...but that's really not logical considering I said I didn't know who it was, what it would do, if it would be important or not, or if it's even scum or not.

I know it's in the game, and unless you want a role claim, that's all you get to know.

Oh well then I think the reason she came out with it is because K7 said something about having knowledge of her night actions, didn't he? Lemme find it...

Had to move my younger brother for part of today and yesterday so i didn't go drinking after work but am rather tired for a big post.

@spyreX,

a couple of questions
1) You were told the bridgekeeper was the one asking the questions or did you guess you were talking to the bridgekeeper based on the type of questions?
2) Are you certain it was Tracker, Role Cop, Regular cop? Could there have been some other level of flavor cop?

@Poker,

1.) I was told it was the Bridge Keeper.
2.) The questions specifically were my target, my ability and my alignment. The closest connections for the same type of information if it was normal roles was:
Target - Tracker
Ability - Rolecop
Alignment - Regular Cop.

Now, there is a hazy space about the "consequences" of if I lied (I told the truth to all 3) - but, at face value, that is all three roles in one.

Soooo so far we have softclaim nightactions from K7 and Strap, with K7's having something to do with PF. K7 you ready to explain yet since Spyrex did, or are you going to keep waiting?

Okay, another I'm-caught-up update from me.

1. I don't quite understand JordanA24's question for me in 712. I think he's asking why I would be against forcing a modkill. For me the question is backwards; I've no idea why I would be *for* forcing a modkill.

2. Concerning SpyreX, for me it's not about "is he lying or telling the truth" about the bridgekeeper as (and this will become a familiar theme) "why did he bring it up in the first place?" What was he hoping to accomplish by mentioning what happened to him last night, and how specifically did he think it might help the town? More importantly, did he accomplish what he hoped to accomplish?
I ask all this completely separately from the question why he had to ask whether anyone else had been visited by the bridgekeeper before revealing what he revealed. What would he have done if someone else had said they'd received such a visit? He said in 715 that "If Ironman claims he was visited by the bridgekeeper, hang him," which implies that he wouldn't have believed anyone if they had claimed such a thing, but why not? If he would have us believe that there are two French Taunters in the game, why not two bridgekeepers or whatever?
I would like SpyreX to provide answers to these many questions, as specifically as possible. (He may have implied answers before, but that's not the same thing.) Only then can I make a informed decision about whether he is telling the truth or not, and what it means.

3. Regarding strappado, asking who a character is (as she did in 726) is not particularly suspicious to me, but mentioning that she knows that character is in the game (as she did in 729) is far more sketchy -- especially because she avoided answering any questions about it for quite a while before finally settling on "That would involve revealing my role." She has explained why she made post 726, but she has not explained why she said what she said in post 729. If she truly wanted to hide her role, there were numerous plausible answers she could have given ("I'm just curious" springs to mind) that would never have led to role speculation at all. So I will ask the question again -- "why bring it up in the first place?"

4. PokerFace, please feel free not to reveal any further information if you think it would be harmful for now. For the record, I hold killa seven more responsible than you, since he seems to have brought it up first.

5. I couldn't agree with Muerrto and Lord Gurgi more. None of this makes any sense, and if everyone who didn't make sense were mafia we'd all have been endgamed by now. I suppose it's nice to have something to talk about, but we have enough claims for today (and maybe tomorrow), and I don't see how it helps in any way.
It's been a busy year, but I want to be back someday.
Oh, and...WAR KITTENS??
