joubert is not the only person trying to keep the attention on chubbs. you and alabaska are equally guilty of this. far too many people are investing way to much in keeping chubbs at the forefront.
Catching a JCS reference earns you +25 cool points.

:D

No further comment on the proceedings, still waiting to hear from Joubert--which oddly enough I can only imagine being pronounced JOO-bert and looking a lot like the popular Dilbert comic character.

Carl Anderson, RIP, greatest Judas ever.

I've been pushing my music teacher to do JCS for our musical, but she is an old, worthless bat who refuses to do anything with the slightest bit of class. Okay, that may be a tad harsh. :D

Taking a look over this game so far...

I never thought Chubbs was scummy. To me, his posts indicate the classic symptoms of acute newbieitis(as opposed to chronic newbieitis, but that's off-topic). I can't see anything otherwise that points to scum.

Joubert's post #64 is super-scummy. He's definitely on my scum shortlist at the moment. I'd like to see at least one more post from him before I decide whether to jump on the bandwagon, though.

I suspect that Alabaska is BS'ing us when he says that Chubb's play is more noobscum, but it's just a hunch. Alabaska, do you have any solid reasons for believing this?

rofl, I agree with your suspicions on ssf, but Geddingsworth seems like town to me right now. While IMO he is being too hard on Chubbs, I don't see anything that he's done so far that is scummy. Can you elaborate?

P.S.:Snix, look at Open 62

The problem with playing with an inexperienced player is that some people will jump on every "newbie" action as a genuine scumtell, and votevotevote. Others will dismiss absolutely every scummy thing they do as a nulltell.

The problem here is finding the point where newbishness stops and scumminess begins. Everyone has their different ideas of where the line is, which is what makes it so frustratingly difficult to determine whether or not they're scum. More importantly, because of this, it's even more difficult to use that player's connections to everyone else to work out which of
them
might be scum!

I, personally, stand by my vote, and am more compelled to hold it considering that Chubbs completely vanished when his wagon began to pick up votes.

Both of thier disappearances are annoying me. While I understand the case against Chubbs, joubert's attempt to set up multiple lynches based on a town flip just screams for more attention.

the timing and manner of ged's chubbs vote were both very summy to me. he slid in as the wagon was gaining some serious steam, and added nothing at all. looking at this posts again in isolation i notice that he too seems to have a seriously vested interest in keeping the focus on chubbs and off joubert.

but then, ssf just did the same thing again in his most recent post that caught my attention when he voted chubbs, which is calling out another tell that can be either newbie or scum and pushing it hard, namely disappearing under pressure. this time though he simultaneously totally ignores the fact that joubert has pulled the same exact stunt, and keeps his vote on the chubbs wagon, which at this point is rather importent.

Woah, woah, Mik5. Settle down, Orange, I'd like your impressions in general.

Both Chubbs and Joubert have acted scummy, but lets not tunnelvision here.

@ Eldrictch, how am I being Tunnelvisioned? The last several pages have primarily been about Joubert and Chubbs, so discussing those two specifically doesn't seem too ridiculous.

@ Armlx: very insightful =)
