Well, this game is certainly fun to read (

Dear Mod:

I certainly enjoy the flavor as well, and it shouldn't be distracting as long as those who lurk or abandon the game are prodded and/or replaced in as reasonable a manner as is convenient), and all the notions of roles/PRs seem to hint at future fun as well. The main problem: I've no clue whom to vote.

My vote on JordanA24 was a random one, and apparently The Internet's was too. Then two others voted for him for not being silly, and that's how we got our vote leader. I know he's not in danger of getting lynched anytime soon, so I don't feel like I

have

to vote someone else, but...I worry that I am not doing enough to move the game along. Maybe I still need to get used to the fact that large games take longer, and remember that the book I love the most has many, many pages.

That said, I hope those who are currently not posting "game content" (Bogre, Luigi, chenhsi, others?) will begin to do so. Even if it's mild stuff like what I'm doing, at least that's something.

I'm not into the whole WIFOM, but the minute he started playing "guess my role" it implied something was there. It'd be better to know what it IS then to just let it slide.

But, thats just me apparently.

What about Jordan's lurker disappearing and no talk actions? I'm not big on lynching lurkers, but when I see someone is around and not talking that sends my scumdar off.

I only start paying attention to lurking when it's really really really blatant. He posted here 3 days ago, so it's not blatant enough for me to pay attention to it yet. But I'm sure you know my opinion on lurking already since you read Newbie 621, so why ask?

I think my problem is I know Jordan thru other games and I don't take him as a lurker type.
In Newbie 621 I figured it was because you knew TSQ that you might feel differently about it with others.

Well, he's claimed a character already. One who changes scenes. I oppose half-claims more than I oppose full-claims. So on this, my opinion is: meh, his reason for claiming in the first place is full of suck, might be best if he spat the rest of it out to lower the WIFOM factor.

Farside: knowing TSQ from another game actually was making me less patient with him not being there. My lurker policy is universal though.

Re. Bruce's lurking, I think we shouldn't ignore Bruce's 12-word point that Bruce also hasn't said much to date, making her comment post 252 more than a little (or perhaps I should say 'un per'?) cheeky.

As for Bruce's confusion, he's struggled to find things to say in other games I'm in with him too. It's definitely more blatant in this game though, and I think his not being familiar with Monty Python is also not likely to help us later down the line.

Yes, its going to be a little more Zany in here, but it isn't any more "confusing" than other games.

Hmm, well looking back, she has posted a bit more than I remembered but more so earlier in the game than lately, so I thought it was a little cheeky for her to just post a one-line endorsement of Bruce's challenge to Bruce to 'post some content' rather than add anything extra herself.

While we're on the topic of people who could be contributing more than they are, Bruce is also worth mentioning in that regard. I'm sure you know who I mean - he's done nothing so far except random vote, roll a die to see whether to vote me, and post a couple of video links. I'm pretty keen to hear more from him, too - his thoughts on who looks scummiest to him so far and why, or something, at least.

Well, Bruce... imagine that you're forgetful when it comes to names. So to avoid getting people's names mixed up, you call everyone 'whatshisname'. "Hi whatshisname, how are you? Have you heard from whatshisname lately?"

Well, that's what I do (due to a post restriction), except instead of calling you all "whatshisname", I call you all 'Bruce'. Including myself.

I think that would go against the whole concept of the Bruce, adding in a level of confusion that would make Bruce become not-Bruce, thereby destroying our fabric of lives.

I still think that Bruce should start posting more. I think this game is plenty silll as it is, but the more anyone posts the better the game is.

I also think that Bruce is right in that using the title Bruce is much less confusing that calling anyone by their real names.
