But then, it's rarely a pro-town thing to do either.
lurking not good for town. though my thought is that lurkers often get too much of a free ride in newbie games and the more vocal get the most pressure put on them.
at worst, if you have nothing to say, should be able to find something others are talking baout to give your opinion-

I largely agree with this. Being vocal is much better than lurking if you ask me. If you must resort to it, ask questions about what people think.geraintm wrote:agree with ken

asking others questions to me means you look like you are particpating, but in actually fact all you re doing is boosting post count and getting others to voice their opinions. you dont add anything yourself. naughty.-

To be honest, I was going to tell everyone that I was going to be out of town, but the night before, there was a power outage, which sucked because I had a sofa cover in the wash cycle and I had to wring it out by hand. Very impossible to do properly unless you have the strength of those guys who can rip phone books in half.
Nevertheless, of all of the reading, that stood out the most. Might as well lean on him a bit.-

well, i agree, it seems kind of suspicious to say that lurking is not supsicious.
however, i am just saying that being here and reading yet not saying anything doesn't always mean that you are suspicious of something. true, you aren't helping the town at all, but it does not necessarily point directly to a mafia, so i just wanted to point that out. but it IS better not to lurk, so we should try to get the lurkers out of hiding if we can to get as much information. i'm just trying to remind everyone that lurking = not necessarily mafia.
but yeah. plus, if you're saying i'm trying to protect lurkers, my vote is on chenhsi and he's lurking at the moment xD. but yeah, trying to get him to say something at all, since he's one of the people who hasn't contributed at the moment.-

Ok, I am saying something now...
Sorry, kind of forgot that this was here...
So currently, from what I understand, the current argument is around lurking? I don't really have anything to contribute about lurking, me not being experienced enough to know whether that is good or bad...
There isn't much to talk about is there?-

Maybe Wumbo will find a vote or two against him to be of interest.Wumbo wrote:I'm here. Been reading, just nothing is of interest.

Vote: Wumbo
who after all admits to lurking at the moment (post 69), which I find a little more suspect than chenhsi who feels to me like a newbie townie struggling to find things to talk about.-

First off, excuse the inactivity for the last couple of days, I wouldn't usually go V/LA because of work, but this time of year can cause it sometimes.
Personally, I'm kinda stuck, at this point. I'm trying to find something to talk about, trying to bring things up and maybe get people talking, but nobody's biting.
I picked chenhsi as the vote first mainly because he hadn't posted in longer and, honestly, said much the same thing as Wumbo did in the quote above the last time he did post.
I'm not as convinced on the newbie townie thing, but I'll go with benefit of the doubt for the moment.
unvote, vote: Wumbo-

Out of chenhsi and wumbo, wumbo's certainly coming off the scummier.
Its day one however, I cant say that lurking because there isnt anything to talk about is really a great offence. But he's coming off scummy, so chances are i'll vote if he doesnt come up with a decent defence in the next say.. 12 hours or so.-

A decent defense to what? Three bandwagon votes based off the premise that I was lurking? Sorry, that's just not going to cut it for me. Oh noes I was reading and not posting to a Day 1 inactive thread.
Hardly the big picture, wouldn't you say?
Oh, my bad. I wasn't aware there was anything serious going on.You said this and did nothing in terms of serious business. I'm okay hopping on this wagon."C'mon, ninja kick the damn rabbit!."-

Hmmm. Looks like my death is coming up rather quickly. At any rate I hardly call an absurdly fast bandwagon "serious business" but we do need someone to lynch at the end of the day, I suppose.
FoS: Imaginality/KenfuciusFor reaction fishing. Kenfucius is more suspicious to me for continuing the bandwagon, but who knows. Not that I'm 100% on all the mafia members having already voted for me, but I have a pretty good feeling about it. The hammer of course, could be mafia as well. I was going to hammer myself to make a point but I think getting information out of the person who votes last is more important than my amusement."C'mon, ninja kick the damn rabbit!."
