I can't help but think that people who reveal their roles too eagerly should be attacked, first with bombs and rockets to destroy their homes, and then when they run helpless into the street, mow them down with machine guns. And then, of course, release the vultures.

I know these views aren't popular, but I have never thought of popularity.

But revealing your role this early in the game would be an entirely bad play, and thus, is the best play a person could make on Day 1.

Chenhsi, I'm tempted to move my vote over to you. I don't like the "I'm confused" card. I think all of us are confused but you're the only one trying to play it. I'll be watching you.

I haven't played in a lot of games yet, but I've read quite a few. Its not enough to build a case on, but in general "I'm soo confused" is a scum-maneuver. Especially in context of random voting.
