The reason why I picked the masons the way I did was I thought I was going to get way more help early game to cover for when I'm awful at the game then I actually got.
Sure LLD lynch is really nice, but I didn't really get much early game support from outside of that, and I don't think me and Kats could actually work together, because at the point we tired too, I was doing the things I do late game where literally no one can keep up with me, and Kats reads were just wrong (while strongarming me to lynch those reads) and it was getting impossible to hide us being masons D5.

Like, I feel like I should be able to carry my own weight at Late Game, but I need support Early Game. If I don't have that support, then it can be hard to recover. Especially when D3 people were actually able to play the game w/o bullshit (even tho there was bullshit) and D3 mason PT was super dead.

Ank dying on N1 and killing Formerfish in the right time before he started shooting all of us. I think those two things were relevant for us setupwise. Other than that, I think the synergies we had as a scumteam made this game really fun to play even when there were times I was a fucking mess irl.

I don't remember if you were on my list of names (its pretty easy to check tho) but I don't think you were because considering how our hydra attempts went, my mason drafts were mostly focused around early game support and people who could reasonably work well together with.

+1. I saw what you were trying to do, but I think in this game aiming for weak links with the mason pool was probably a better idea. People like Ari who would be valuable in keeping people happy but wouldn't be seen as outright threatening by Pine probably would have been a better bet.

Kats and GIce were strong at forming reads, but as much as they did, they also relied on the masonry as a crutch which crippled their impact.
