I'm not really getting that from reading it. Oman's response to your noting the bandwagon shift was serious, why did you answer with a joke?

do you think it was a mistake to make a joke? Do you think it was a mistake to try to rationalize it as simply being a "joke"?

Interesting. You apparently have a clear idea about what "needs" to be done, but you yourself aren't actually prepared to do it? Any reason why?

I don't mean that someone should intentionally do something stupid. It works better if it's not deliberate, but it's probably too much to expect random stupidity in this game.

I didn't want to mention it, because I think someone could (legitimately) gripe that they should have been chosen over someone that's only played two mafia games ever.
the only reason I ask is because in Underground you posted mountians of text, was wondering if we will have such posts here. And to agree with Fonz, I think you have "game", are active (though not so much here yet), and have the ability to watch and comment, versus comment and watch.

At any rate, I was hoping that we weren’t going to have so much theory conversation in this game, but maybe that is just how games go with a day start. Theory discussion, then pounce on the guy we think has faulty theory or is pushing bad theory as fact. While reading (catching up) I haven’t really considered the Cicero wagon a real wagon, though it appears others have, though I don’t know why.

Shanba’s last post I found interesting….and would like him to comment it on it now, please.

Unvote BT
, though I note his lurking.

I know this may come off OMGUS, but I think Shanba is "lurking" heavier than BT is. BT seems absent, Shanba is posting little content.

Sorry guys; wife just had our first daughter last Sunday, and I haven't had a chance to devote to a readthrough until now. I'm back at work though, where I get most of my mafia posting in.

Looking through the game so far the only thing that really strikes me is Simenon's back-off of cicero.
Unvote, vote: Simenon
. I haven't played with a lot of you guys so I'm not going to have much of a meta here. I've played with Simenon (shortly) and Fonz in Mafia 64 (cries). I don't think I've played with the rest of you. So my meta is mostly with Fonzy (Sim wasn't in 64 for very long), who doesn't seem to be doing anything out of the ordinary right now.

Note: I thought that cicero's reaction to the bandwagon was interesting. He tried to approach it both flippantly and logically, and the latter seemed much more strained than I would have expected. I don't know his meta, so I'm not sure what it means though.

Don't be silly. Decent scum will act antitown whenever they think they can get away with it, and protown when they can't. Thus accepting the 'it was a mistake' line allows more antitown things to be done.

This is sluggish. You're slowing the game down, not speeding it up.
A large number of your posts in this game are, honestly, lazy. You're giving just enough "content" to get by, but none of it is actually going to throw any light on anything.
I've played with Simenon (shortly) and Fonz in Mafia 64 (cries).
Get that game off my record please.

I agree..

and I just realized that BT lives like 30 minutes from me...I work at Tech 2-3 times a week...no real importance to the game..just realized that.

waiting for shanba to answer question.

BT congrats on the baby!

Shanba are you still LA-ish I noticed that in the VLA thread. Others is Shanba generally lurky I haven't played with him prior?

I agree with CKD's Erg0 sentiment, but it also feels like a number of us are being overly careful. I don't think anyone wants to get knocked out early from a game like this. The person that worries me most in this regard is Adel. She's generally the one plowing through the early game like a bulldozer.

I played Erg0 once. He was quite lurky early game and picked up the pace quite a bit as the game drew longer.

hmmm, it may be different from what you are used to.
things to consider:
1. there are no idiots or assholes playing in this game
2. I am not distracted due to being in too many games
3. I doubt that tracks or traps will work well, unless they are really really subtle.
4. I would like Erg0 to take me at face value, if possible
