Well if there is you should vote Simenon.Oman wrote:Is there not scum benefit in starting a wagon on someone like this under the premise of a joke?
No. Adel's is worse. Hence my vote. I didnt know about her vote when I did my last post.Oman wrote: Bad threat. Terrrible in fact. Is my jumping on you worse than Adel's?
Actually me calling myself a townie is something of a huge town tell for me , but really I just meant a player there.Cicero wrote:I don't know you're a townie, do I? I have no evidence to that point. Nor can you expect me to have any. I dislike this constant exclamation that you are townie like this.
I'm not at 4 votes. I will be profoundly amused if this wagon goes through to completion.-

It began as a joke, yes, but why do you assume that just because I was continuing to be tongue-in-cheek, it wasn't at all serious? For me at least, it stopped becomming a joke rather early. And yes, I do believe there is a difference between humorous explanations and a joke.
Currently, cicero seems to be pretty dense, especially the comments in his last post.

Im sorry Simenon, you'll need to actually provide reasons now.Simenon wrote:It began as a joke, yes, but why do you assume that just because I was continuing to be tongue-in-cheek, it wasn't at all serious? 1. It began as a joke, what caused it to become serious? Please reference a post and explain your logic. The serious part divorced from the humour. Why am I scum?
2. What exactly do you find dense in my last post? You cant just assert that. Please educate me.-

So you wont vote him for it and I wont vote him for it. Whats the problem? What are you accusing me of exactly? Syntax? Am I simenon's scumbuddy? Or do you think I'm just scared of him? What's my scum motivation, Oman? I'm really very curious to know.Oman wrote:

Let's get this out of the way early on kids. I'm here to play mafia. I'm not your playtoy. If you want to play Cicero is the Pinata because you think it'll be fun, get it over with quick so I can go back to my vacation. If you want to scumhunt lets get at it. But this isnt a scumchat game and I'm not Xyzzy . So grow up and piss off. Capiche?Adel wrote:why won't just take your lynch quietly and proudly like a man who wears pants?-

why you gots to go and spoil me fun likes that?
you said that Simenon is more likely to be town than scum, and I happen to think that you would be more likely to say that if you are scum than if you are town. For a town player getting caught out in a random early day 1 wagon is annoying, for a scum player it can be deadly.-

I'm not exactly sure of the logic in your last sentence. Im probably dense like Simenon says. Explain it to me. I'm more than happy to hear arguments for why I'm wrong and Simenon is scum because he isnt very popular with my smug dense self right now. My logic is simple. Town is more likely to feel free to be flippant. Sim was flippant. I could definitely be wrong though. Sim is a smart guy and someone I havent played with before so I have no idea of his meta. What know you of him?-

I wouldn't if I didn't think so myself.cicero wrote: Im sorry Simenon, you'll need to actually provide reasons now.
It was never really a joke to being with, seeing as it's important to always start off a game with a bandwagon. More and more I realized that the enuthusiasm for the wagon would be able to set it off legitametly.1. It began as a joke, what caused it to become serious?
Notice how I've never said you were scum in my previous post. I just said it stopped being a joke.. Why am I scum?
But what makes me believe you're scum is the fact that you just had to add in your own personal town tell in the post I cited. And the fact that you actually threatened to pretend to suspect someone vote someone unless they wised up. Either you're 80 years old or something isn't right here.

quietly notices Oman's shifting the wagon to cicero
And cicero I have to disagree re: Simenon's town tell. I do not think you can claim scum more likely to ride the pine early on. I expect more than cliche tells like that out of this game, and I'd be fairly certain everyone has a good grasp on their town meta to know if they should be running a flippant wagon or not. Now can someone please tell me if town Simenon is flippant-

simenon is flippant. it ain't a otwn tell, and i suspect the only way you may suspect that it is is if you are scum and know that he is not, hence my vote on cicero.-

That just ended after 13 straight Newbie games as town, I'm afraid. I've been scum in at least one mini and one large game during that time, though.Oman wrote:Erg0, are you still on your "never ever scum" streak?

Patience runs out on the junkie
The dark side hires another soul
Did he steal his fate or earn it
Was he force-fed, did he learn it
Whatever happened to his precious self control
Like him I'm tired of trying to heal
This tom-cat heart with which I'm blessed
Is destruction loving's twin
Must I choose to lose or win
Maybe when my turn comes I will have guessed
These are the horns of the dilemma
What truth is proof against all lies
When sacred fails before profane
The wisest man is deemed insane
Even the purest of romantics compromise-

in iPick guardian was the mod, cicero and I were scum, and shated had a post restriction where he had to post in haiku and mention Nibbler in the last line.shaft.ed wrote:
just a joke for cicero, Adel and Guardian regarding iPick.Erg0 wrote:Haikus? Really?
his post restriction got in the way of him convincing the rest of the town that cicero and I were scum.
what were our scumtells in that game, btw?

maybe because of our generation we seem to be following the
{random voting}+{random bullshit} --> {random wagon} --> information for a serious wagon --> Day 1 lynch
recipe for how to conduct a day 1.
Is there a better way?-
