Phoebus is right. It's not a matter of siding with Phoebus over Fatal Malfunction, it's a matter of siding with our site's current subsocietal norms over a change in them. One of these conventions is that, for the ease of reading, we voluntarily restrict our signatures to almost entirely text-based, and when an image is included, it's usually small, innocuous, and not animated.
