What the hell is a "policy vote", xyzzy? You'll vote someone but won't lynch them? That doesn't make any sense... ANY vote should be prepared to go all the way to completion, unless it's specifically disclaimered (which just makes it entirely useless, more often than not).
Seriously. I get that our previous game cheesed you off, but this is unhealthy. I'm no more or less a threat to you in this game based on being scum in Newbie Game 446 (for those who don't know what he's referring to), can you understand that? Try to disconnect your emotions.
FOS: Flameaxe- you're either lying or an idiot. If you'd been a few hours earlier, you'd have put xyzzy atfourvotes w/o being aware of it (supposedly). Stop being unhelpful and read the damn thread!
Spryex (and anyone else this applies to) why don't you like me "trying to kill the jokevotes out of the box"?Retired as of October 2014.-

I disagree with farside and with korts on this one, we've already found substance. xyzzy is making himself obvious, and he's not the only question mark I have.
@Phoebus: your only posts so far have been 1) an unexplained vote and three comments to people that aren't related to the actual game, 2) requests for prods (when prods were not needed btw) and vote count policing, and 3) flippantly refusing to actually explain your vote.
I know you're paying attention, since you noticed the miscounted vote, but are you actually going to contribute any time soon? To me what you're doing looks like active lurking.-

Flay,
The reason why I dont like you trying to kill jokevotes out of the box is that, honestly, the joking helps set a tone and will give topics of discussion more than a random vote will (for me at least).
A perfect example is the fact that I, personally, am not just going to random vote someone BUT it sure looks like my joke vote sparked some discussion. Part of what lead us to this.
Phoebius,
I'd like to see more contributions - I was prodded when I was asleep and it looks like you, who hasn't said really anything, asked for the prod. Why?-

I'd like to see more substance/logic behind Pheeb's vote on Grimmy. Right now it doesn't look useful or instructive to me.
I just realized after leaving last night that we have a little more breathing room for Day One, since there's a weekend in the middle of our "72 hours". Still, we're making good progress so far, and still have until Monday.Retired as of October 2014.-

Yes, I voted you on shoddy logic based on being annoyed at you in a previous game. And you're saying it's inconsistent to not be willing to lynch based on that? A vote doesn't need to lead to a lynch to be useful, and to produce discussion.Mr. Flay wrote:What the hell is a "policy vote", xyzzy? You'll vote someone but won't lynch them? Early discussion inducing votes are commonplace and in a game with short days, they are useful.
I don't like that we are being caught up in only one thing here though. Can't see anyone as being all that scummy right now because ZZ seems to be forced on the defence and not much else seems to be taking place.
OGML seems to be pushing this rather heavily.

Well, to be entirely honest...I saw something about Grimmy but don't remember what.
For now, he's not done anything to make me want to unvote.
As I see it - this game needed prodding because it's snail paced compared to the last one and the more people keep talking throughout the day, the less chance of panic and quick lynching near the end.
OGML - You want to call it active lurking? Go ahead. There are no nefarious intentions behind it. It's my policy to say stuff when I feel like there is something worth commenting upon. Heaven knows there is enough fluff in most games here without me needing to add any more.
If you wish to make this a meta issue. Go right ahead.
Last game, I was pushing stuff off a tell I thought was valid. I was wrong. Where I needed to push, I pushed and was vocal. When I was found to be wrong...I backed off.
Call it hot and cold/passive aggressive whatever.
Day starts annoy me. So...my vote is good right now, where it is, than in my pocket.
It doesn't necessarily do Grimmy any harm and if, as a result, discussion is provoked...all the more better.Your happiness is intertwined with your outlook on life.-
