I've revealed all. However, we haven't heard about Westley's abilities (have we?). Or Fezzik for that matter.

Lynch me if you must, but if we could test my lynch power theory, maybe we can avoid wasting a day to find out I am who I said I was.

I don't fund rite too suspicious, really, but there's good arguments for lynching him. In particular, I think that the Vezzini=Mafia Cop idea makes a whole lot of sense. And frankly, I think we have some room for error. I doubt there's much evil left at all. If rite's innocent, we can decide about his sanity and work from there tomorrow.

I assumed the mod was just playing God, but now I think about it, your suggestion sounds very likely. I remember Fishbulb saying that he does have some power. This made me a little suspicious at the time because it was a vague claim. But an extra vote would explain it.

rite has 3 votes on him, so theoretically Fishbulb plus one other could finish him off.

I can see mathcam's point (above).
I'll vote for rite next time I post, unless there's a better option put forward.

Please, no "anxious for night time, he's scum" retorts. :D
mathcam wrote:If rite's innocent, we can decide about his sanity and work from there tomorrow.
The real question is: If rite's not the last Mafia, THEN where do we go? I think I've presented a pretty sound argument for who's left if rite is innocent, which I can't fathom. But in the interest of full disclosure and all that:

Code: Select all

rite DP/Talitha

DP/Talitha Leonidas
CRiX/fishbulb mlaker
jadesmar mathcam
mathcam jadesmar
Dourgrim Dourgrim
mole mikehart

If rite is Mafia and we don't win immediately, then we have to assume that any of rite's "investigations" could be falsified. I think we can remove Talitha and the Townie Brigade from suspicion, but Fishbulb joins the side of myself and Norinel as "people who haven't been confirmed by DP/Talitha." I'd suggest investigating one of those people.
Sugar wrote:[...] we're not really in a rush, are we?
We've had all the discussion we can, unfortunately. It's definitely time to move on.
mathcam wrote:And frankly, I think we have some room for error
Mathcam's right - no point in terror. DP's initial investigations and the stumbling night activity of the Mafia and ROUS over the past few days has left us in a peachy situation. To be a bit passe: Let's go town!

I'll refrain from voting so we can test the Fishbulb hypothesis, OK?
(Assuming Fishbulb is intending to send a vote in rite's direction?)

If Rite's guilty I think he's done a damn good job of acting innocent, and if's he's innocent I'm sure he won't mind taking one for the team.

It's been suggested that I investigate massive, Norinel or Fishbulb tonight... is that the general consensus?

I'd urge y'all not to, but what's the point?

I'll take one for the team here, but I'm telling you that it would be much better to lynch someone tonight who's NOT claiming to be a cop, then investigate me.

I'll hold to my previous offer-- if I'm investigated to be scum, I'LL vote for myself.

'Nother Thought-- We could all

vote: no lynch

I'd be investigated tonight, cleared, and we'd have a small pool of people to take out as potential scum. Then again, there's always the possibility of a Godfather who is innocent to investigation....

I think we need to discuss this some more, so I say hold off voting Fishbulb.

I'm not sure about the no-lynch plan. Like rite said, if it is a godfather who is left, the only way we'll find out who it is is by lynching them. Is this a serious possibility? It would mean that our investigating abilities and our list of confirmed innocents is not worth anything, which is a scarey thought.

Either way I think we have to lynch. It's the only way to get concrete information.

Yeah, I've already expressed an opinion similar to mikehart's. I do know that sometimes mafia spies show up as innocent, which is, IMO, the most likely thing for rite to be.

Well if there's no Godfather, the remaining mafia MUST be rite, massive, norinel or fishbulb, unless we have made a hugely wrong assumption somewhere. If we lynch rite today and investigate one tonight, we'll be down to two. If we lynch someone else today and investigate TWO tonight, we'll be down to only one... see where I'm coming from? Not a big deal.. Just prolongs the game for an extra day if we choose the wrong targets.

The other problem is, if we lynch no one tonight, we're relying not only on rite's investigations being truthful, but on the Mafia being unable to kill (or still having some way to protect you tonight) ... I think that's an unnecessary risk seeing as how you're already saying you'd investigate rite. I personally don't see any better options to lynch today. You want to lynch myself or Norinel, people who claimed obvious pro-town roles that should be in the game and have been in-so-far unrepudiated? That seems against practical Mafia logic.

I concur that the Godfather was likely Humperdinck, and we know he didn't show up as innocent. Which is in line with the movie. I still contend that: knowing who has been claimed, and having an idea who the two unclaimed people must be, that Vizzini is the only likely Mafia candidate left.

Yeah, time is starting to catch up with us. If we hold off on the rite lynching, it's even longer before we can figure out who we might have gotten wrong results about. Am I positive he's evil? No, but I'm not sure we can risk letting him live if he is.

End of Day Count:

rite

No Lynch
(1):

Not voting (5):
jadesmar, mikehart, mole, Someone, Talitha

And...guess what? It's enough.

“You fell victim to one of the classic blunders. The most famous is ‘Never get involved in a land war in Asia.’ But only slightly less well known is this: ‘Never go in against a Sicilian when death is on the line!’”

And the least-known classic blunder of all is to assume the employ of braggart geniuses, who naturally work for whomever flatters them and, more importantly,
pays
them more. Pro-town
Vizzini
(
rite

It’s time for night-night. Choices are due

It certainly seems as though

Massive, was that
your
fist?! Explain!

Seems to me that either the King, Fezzik, or one of the townies must have lied, and were actually an ROUS all along. But that doesn't make sense because of the risk they took. Or, here's a theory, a bite which didn't kill turned somebody into a "were-ROUS". Does that sound possible? Someone and Talitha were both attacked, but didn't die...

Those left who haven't been confirmed by Talitha are massive, Fishbulb, mole, Someone and me. I was completely convined of all townies' innocence, until now. Somebody else weigh in with their ideas, I'm pretty confused, here.
