Oh damn, I was just reading some reviews. I'm pretty sure I have to get Betrayal Legacy now. I didn't read a single bad review. I just need to find a group to play through it with.
After years of owning it I finally played Castles of Burgundy with a group. It pretty much meets all the descriptions. Loose kind of white-bread theme but full of interesting choices and decisions.
There will be no kisses tonight
There will be no holding hands tonight
'Cause what is now wasn't there before and should not be
Anyone ever played 1st Ed? I know it's kind of rare. But I watched a playthrough on GameNight and it looks like loads of fun, though a bit long to play
cant be any worse than irl mafia in terms of night length, no?
Smooth as silk when he's scum, and very much capable of running things from behind the scenes while appearing to be doing minimal effort. - Almost50
Xtoxm is consistently great - Shosin
you were the only wolf i townread at endgame - the worst
It's interesting in that the storyteller has some leeway to actually affect the game and that players still get to talk+play after they die
But I can't justify grabbing it for the mayybe once or twice a year I'll both have enough people around to play it and those people will actually want to play something like that, esp. when I've already got two rooms and a boom
i would be buying it probably if it weren't so expensive. if it was at the 40-50 dollar price point id back it. $100 (with shipping) is way too much. Maybe I'll wait for retail

The game is just bad. The sharing mechanics are half-assed and they don't work as well as they should on paper.
The special roles are way too hit or miss.
Far too often people just go "uhh fuck it ok I'll share" and by that point it's too late.
Or you can shit starting randomization of rooms and one team just locks the win from the start.
I have multiple people in my group who actually request that game
Normally I do three games of it and move on:
1. Bomber/Engineer + President/Doctor
2. Add Sniper/Target/Decoy + Shy Guys or some other team roles
3. Bullshit game with Hot Potato and Leprechaun and whatever else
I always do full reveals though
The biggest balance issue comes when numbers prevent leaders to be changed and one team controls both rooms
@thesupertriomusical on Instagram, come see it if you’re in LA area, I wrote it!
Has anyone else played the This War of Mine board game? It's a fascinating attempt to directly map the video game of the same name to a board game. Not all of it works, but I really enjoy the game.
jdodge1019: hasjghsalghsakljghs is from vermont
jdodge1019: vermont is made of liberal freaks and cows
jdodge1019: he's not a liberal
jdodge1019: thus he is a cow
Escape room with a board game theme sounds very weird. I'm not actually sure what to tell you to expect. Typically the themes are more concrete - like mafia, willy wonka, super heroes, houdini, etc.
There is a picture of a chess piece. My first choice was the virus room, but the groupon that saved like 60 bucks only applied to the "game room". It's also the easiest one.
I've only made one good post, and don't you dare accuse me of doing it again.
