Yes but they sacrifice functionality of the ship past being aesthetically pleasing. If I fill my interior with balloons or make sails larger then Zeus on the above deck, I sacrifice that space as usable base real estate and now I have a gorgeous operational flying ship that looks like a ship but is useless as anything more than a giant slow moving vehicle to get from A to B.
do that concept across the full hull, you'll have a ton of wiggle room without even needing the masts, the mast balloons end up being bonuses, plus the hull balloons are effectively invisible, and you'll have 11 blocks wide 3 high in the inside of the ship which is pretty roomy.
Regarding the second ourathanos, no, i do not have pictures of it.
you could make it wider and the bottom flatter, it'll still come out the same, add a top deck to it, add masts to cover the top deckk, you'll have a ton of space on the ship

"vanilla" quark ship with exterior and interior complete untouched 372/1300 (28%)
quark ship with entire interior gutted so there is no more than 1 wooden block between empty interior hull and outside air, then filled ENTIRELY in with balloons and sails replaced with balloons: 570/1401 (43 percent)
What EXACTLY 40% looks like (before making the base USABLE, adding chests/equipment/bed/etc):
passable vanilla-only bare base built on-deck on ship with 43 percent balloons before adding shit thats useful: (570/1352 42%)

New information has arisen! Ship of this size is not feasible nor possible. Maximum block limit is 2048. Vanilla quark ship eats half of that at 1300 blocks!
Anything larger than a vanilla ship that is not solid balloons will need too many balloons in order to make it float that it cant assemble as a ship!
I shall quit all attempts at realism and fly my base around on a 20X20X1 platform with fences to maximize the number of usable 2048 blocks I have left over!
I can't get modded to connect. Just gets a disconnect, no error on my end. The only thing I see in logs is psosbily complaint about waila and inventory tweaks and such. Downloaded the thing from davsto's post, and set everything up in twitch app just like I did on my laptop thats working. Not sure why it's being cranky.

Is all i get that resembles an error about connecting, same download that I made on my laptop though ...That worked today.
@ETL/A: InvTweaks and the JEI mods should definitely exist on-server. It really helps with synchronizing inventories, from what I remember...
@aphix: All the rest of those are client-side mods; them not showing up on server is expected. There’s no way that’s your issue. What kind of settings are you using? What kind of hardware do you have?
AMD FX-8300 with R7 370 and 16 gigs of ram. I set it to like 8 gigs of ram for minecraft, I tried added in davros' java settings but that was after the issue happened so it happened with and without them.
Yeah I though all those mods didn't seem to be the issue, but seems weird that it loads fine. Just insta disconnects from the server.
