It's time for a new Haggle Game. This one will have a Mafia theme (imagine that).

If you don't know what Haggle is, read all about Haggle here, here, and here.

The cards we are going to use are as follows:

Rules

There are 16 types of cards, total number of cards will be determined when players have signed in. Each player recieves the same number cards to be determined. Cards are worth an unknown amount of points, and the goal is to end up with the most points by trading cards and rules. There are 20 rules, which determine the scoring of points. Each player will start with the knowledge of 2 rules. You can trade your rules with each other to get more knowledge of the values of cards.

You are only allowed to communicate in this thread. If you want to trade cards or rules with other players, post it in bold. You are not allowed to pm each other any rules, but I will pm the rule to you if you got a rule from someone. Both players in a trade must post the trade in bold for it to be official.

The game will end after 2 weeks from the start date. Then I will calculate your score and announce the winner. Post here to be /in. Thanks to Coolbot for the idea.

We are trading the knowledge of the Rules. If person A knows rules 1 and 2 and then trades for rules 3 and 4, they then know rules 1,2,3, and 4.

Alright you guys are killing me. Let's try this, ok? When you make an offer/trade to someone please phrase it as such:

Greasy Spot trades: Goons(2), Rules 3 and 4 -> Guardian for Townies(5) and Rule 20
and the person confirming can post
CONFRIM Greasy Spot trades: Goons(2), Rules 3 and 4 -> Guardian for Townies(5) and Rule 20
.
If the person who is confirming wants to make a change please quote the first offer and then write your counter offer in the same manner as the first offer. It would also be nice to reference the post # of the offer you are confirming.

I am working on the outstanding trades on the totals and will post them shortly.

Actually I think You should have 0 GF and 1 Goon. I think I took 1 GF away from dahill on that last trade instead of giving it to dahill.

Okay, as it stands UROE has been replaced by Snix(Thank You) and Oman and Danix have both asked to be replaced. The decision is yours. I can continue to look for 2 replacements or I can try to disperse their cards and rules evenly between all the remaining players.

Please PM me if you want me to disperse their cards or continue to look for replacements. Also if you guys know of someone that may be interested let me know.

Okay, here's the delima. I will be on vacation from the 26th thru the 29th (Sorry, I forgot). I will have very limited internet access. We have two options: 1) We extend the game thru the 30th which will give me any extra time I need to make all trades that may have happened while I was away or 2) We end the game short on Midnight of the 25th and I will posts the results on the 30th when I get back. You guys discuss and let me know how you feel.

Guardian is not the only one in this game. Besides the rules he doesn't have might make him want to change his position. If I disperse (and I haven't decided) a players possessions then rules will most likely be given to all so that benefits the ones that only need those rules more than it benefits the guys needing a lot of rules.


If activity doesn't pick up I will most likely end the game early on the 25th.

The scores have been talled. Here are the Rules:



Rules:
1)Townies and Goons are your typical players in a Mafia game and so they each receive 5 points.

2)Godfather and Cop cards are worth 7 points each.

3)If you have the most Godfather cards, then everyone else's pro-town cards are reduced by 20 points unless they have the most Cop cards of anyone. If you have the most Godfather and Cop cards then your total score is reduced by 30 points.

4)Werewolf and Seer cards are worth 7 points each.

5)If you have the most Werewolf cards then everyone else's pro-town cards are reduced by 20 points unless they have the most Seer cards of anyone. If you have the most Werewolf and Seer cards then your total score is reduced by 30 points.

6)Cult Leader cards are worth 0 points. Cult Recruit cards are worth 1 points each.

7)If you have at least 1 Cult Leader and 1 Cult Recruit and the most Cult cards of anyone else then you become the cult group and recruit half of the Goon and Townie cards from the 3 players with the lowest number of Goon and Townie cards.

8)Both Doctor and Vigilante cards are worth 9 points each.

9)If you have more Doctor cards than Vigilante cards add 20 more points to your Pro-Town score, if not subtract 20 points from your Pro-Town score.

10)The Lyncher and the Jester cards are worth 3 points each.

11)If you have an equal number of Lyncher and Jester cards then triple the value of these cards.

12)The Lurker card is worth -5 points. Nobody likes a Lurker.

13)The serial Killer card is worth -1 points. If you have the most Serial Killer cards you get a Bonus.

14)If your lucky enough to get the most Lurker cards then double the card with the highest point value you have.

15)The player(s) with the most cards at the end of the game gets a 25 point bonus. The player(s) with the least number of Rules at the end of the game gets a 15 point deduction.

16)If you have more of the Serial Killer card than any other person then the top 3 three player's value of Doc and Godfather cards is cut in half.

17)If you have more lurker cards than pro-town cards double the effects of the pro-mafia cards.

18)If you have the most Cop and Seer cards then half your total Mafia score.

19)The Hero card is worth 10 points and the Kingmaker card is worth 2 points.

20)If you have both the Hero and the Kingmaker cards then add 50 points to your total score.

They are scored in this order: 1,2,4,6,8,10,12,13,19,7,14,11,9,16,17,18,3,5,15,20.

Thanks for playing guys. It was really fun for me. I realized that when tallying the scores that they really favored people with a higher anti-town score. It wasn't too balanced. Guardian was right, if he'd have known Rule 17 he could have potentially doubled his score.
