Sorry if you don't agree but half the town did and had already discussed alot. Plus he refused to claim.hasdgfas wrote:GS: That was stupid, stupid, stupid. 24 posts isn't enough discussion, no matter how many of them are his. Well I agree with the Greasy Spot wagon, for the hammering (I already gave my thoughts on the hammer on post 168) and Shin Hatsubai for "role asking".
vote: Greasy Spot, Shin Hatsubai
Besides that, I dont have a lot to comment. About what hasdgfas said on me, nothing to say either... I wasn't keeping up with the game, but am trying harder.-

No doing so makes me just another one of the many votes that thought he was scum. He never alluded to any kind of power role and it wasn't mentioned when he died.windkirby wrote:Well then explain to him what a benefit claiming is to town instead of hammering him! But you have to let people claim, even if they end up claiming vanilla. Yes, he most certainly did allude to a power role.Greasy Spot wrote:

Read that and then rethink the "alluding to a power role" thing. Because that's what he was doing, and you don't hammer without letting someone claim. That's a scum move.ZombieSlayer54 wrote:I could role claim.
But that presents two problems.
1. Townies could think that I am simply role claiming for the sake of not being lynched, as I have seen, and I am sure you people have seen as well, many times before, and therefore finish up the voting on me.
2. If the townies believe me, that would make me a target for the Mafia, who have nothing to lose by night killing me. At least, I do not think they would.jdodge1019: hasjghsalghsakljghs is from vermont

The funny thing about pressure is that it tends to build on people who deserve it. I'm not on every bandwagon, not even close. I'm voicing agreement.armlx wrote:I'm definitely good with some more Gorrad leaning. The funny thing about your pressure is that you're just saying "Sounds good" VOTE: X without giving any reasons. Why don't you elaborate on why you think each wagon is good instead of just jumping on because you can?Gorrad wrote:

No, I don't support my lynch. For the last time there was no hasty demise. Zombie had votes for a long time. It wasn't like they were all placed on him in a 12 hour span and I just waltzed in for the hammer. His death was a tragic loss for us pikmin but was a necessary evil for the game. The only time we learn who someone really is is when they die. Tragically he was a pikmin. You've stated your dislike for Jdodge for a while now but it seems like your on me because your an opportunist.-

Kinda what armlx just said, but I find it odd that he has to emphasize for US pikmin.Greasy Spot wrote:No, I don't support my lynch. For the last time there was no hasty demise. An opportunist? I'm skimming over the beginning of day two and only see Windkirby voting you prior to me, and for a different reason than I was. Your logic is flawed severely on the whole hammering thing, and you're refusing to acknowledge that pressing for his claim would have been a better route to take than the one you ultimately did.
Also, I think it's a very comical claim of yours that Zombie was wagoned for a short time. I'm looking at it right now... The post he made for which people went after him was on Mar 28, 2008 6:12 pm. You hammered him Mar 29, 2008 11:00 pm. That is not "a long time."-

No, logical reasoning is what we have.hasdgfas wrote:

All that debating over the use of the word "us" will lead to is a waste of time and a bullshit case based solely on what wording you would have used in this situation. This is further complicated when you realize that some site members are non-native English speakers, and then add in the fact that even native English speakers sometimes word things poorly. So if you want to allege that semantics are a key part of mafia play, I'm going to take that as a reason to ignore your suspicions as based on shaky grounds.-

Yes, we do have logical reasoning. However, sometimes that logical reasoning can spring from and use semantics discussion. I'm not calling the semantics a huge part in the case on GS, so if you ignore my suspicions based on them being due to shaky grounds such as semantics you're misrepresenting my case.JDodge wrote:

2) No. Give me one example where semantics has ever lead to a good lynch. Because having been here for almost 3 years and having completed over 50 games, I have never really seen a semantics argument that was correct for any reason more than random chance.
3) If you can't think of a logical reason to suspect someone and thus have to go after them on semantics, then your grounds are probably too shaky to support a case. Semantics are a nice way around this.
4) You have not given a good case on GS that I can tell.
