I quite like the deadline mechanic, but I can't really see what more is going to be said, at the moment, and there's no point posting "hi guys" oneliners indefinitely. Assuming requisite numbers of people actually want to kill him (and I think they do), someone needs to tell Capri to claim or die with his next post and mean it. I don't even want him lynched, but no-one seems inclined to do anything else today, so whatever.

Honestly, what you did and what I did were completely different. I said that my thoughts were for discussion only and that they should not be taken into account because they were WIFOM. Someone (Skruffs) asked and I answered. What you did was put WIFOM into play and expected it to be taken into account. Not the same thing.

No Mizzy not really my argument on Skruffs were my thoughts as well. Again it seems to be ok if you mention it is WIFOM before committing WIFOM is your argument. In my case I just didnt acknowledge it was WIFOM.

I am experimenting with weird combinations of subways and buses. For reasons passing understanding, buses are modelled as moving faster than cars, and the less wealthy sims love both of them.

Since you decided to pick a person that several other players have already shown resentment towards, I imagine that you picked a player that you could 'bandwagon'-attack, knowing that your sentiments would be easily shared - and carried, by others. I do not see WHERE you were attacked, but please quote posts where you were voted against and/or attacked for being suspicious of me. I do not think Skruffs is scum based on his attack on me. I personally see it as a null tell/slight town tell. I find Y scummy for attacking him over it (I felt it was a very opportunistic attack), and I'm somewhat disturbed by Mizzy's vote as well, but I need to re-analyze the game again.

If it looks like we're not going to get the full 6 people today, then someone will need to hammer Capi in order to avoid a no-lynch; I'd do it myself, if I wasn't already voting for him. Capi, if you want to avoid dying within the next few hours, you need to show up and defend yourself, and you need to do that RIGHT NOW.

I hate to say it I agree.
with a deadline being strung out this is getting difficult as people lose interest in posting to keep it alive. I doubt with a 24 hour deadline the wagon will swing.

If you want a Capri-lynch so badly, why are you focusing on these three people? Except for question 1, all of these questions could be asked of the others.

Because the person I think is scummiest is probably just annoyingtown, knowing my luck, and the person everyone wants to lynch I don't want to lynch because I think he IS town.

2) Why are you opposed to a Capricious lynch?

Because his actions have come off to me as town, as of late, and I don't think the case on him is particularly strong. What people accuse him of, others have done too, and those people are not close to a lynch. That really bugs me.

3) How do you envisage this day ending?

I worry a lot that enough people will slip up that we have a no-lynch, and I worry that we're going to start accepting mislynches as good things. Sure, they keep us out of no-lynch, but too many mislynches because we're trying to get ANY lynch is not helpful, either.

4) How are you contributing to that?

Right now, I'm making sure I keep posting, and I'm looking back over the game to see if I missed anything that might help us find some scum. I really don't like that the game has gone from "find scum" to "find lynch target" which are not always one and the same.

It's not so much because I think he's especally likely to be scum, not much more so then anyone else anyway. It's more that, at this point, it looks like that unless he starts defending himself better or unless something else happens, the day appears that it is going to end in either a no-lynch or a capi lynch. I'd rather see a capi lynch then a no-lynch, and I'm also hoping that the added pressure will encourage him to come back and try to defend himself or claim or something, and to do it fast.

Oooh. Interesting! Also, yeah, it's Simcity 4; I snaffled a copy from a bargin bin, complete with the traffic addon. 'tis grood.

I don't want to lynch Capri, no, but I've felt for a while that the day is inevitably going to end with his lynch unless he claims something that will dissuade people. Perhaps in the context of this game that's a self-fulfilling prophesy, but out of a whole bunch of times that seem similar to now, the person in question's been lynched every time, seemingly regardless of what I did. It seems more connected with people having a target and not looking at new possibilities; there's simply not a lot of useful stuff happening apart from Capri, because like half of the players are busy wailing on him. So now there's no real potential for another wagon because everyone's already occupied; rinse and repeat until deadline. I'm not honestly sure how healthy it is to have someone hanging around who everyone (for some definition of everyone) thinks is scum, anyway.

Seriously, enough failure. Claim ffs and hammer him if he doesn't in his next post.

I am voting Capri ONLY to ensure a day one lynch, which is town's ONLY WEAPON that we can be sure of at this juncture. I have been saying since the FIRST DAY that we entered deadline that we needed to hammer fast, because otherwise scum will just lay low and wait for the atrophy to sink in until we miss a deadline and lose.
