Yeah, but I was keeping them to five blocks long. That way the light from the tunnel is enough to stop mobs spawning. Also, you can mine an entire branch without moving like that.

I think the problem with that is that most of the streets don't have many houses at all. I believe myself and esurio are the only ones on my street. (I think scroo's path has it's own name)

Also guys, I've been working on my own Survival Games arena for next time. Eight players, thirty-one chests, traps, parkour, flower arranging... it has everything!

Meh, the flower arranging is pretty unimpressive when you look at the rest of it. There are two short parkour courses in the map - four if you count the two parts where you have to jump over lava pits.

And there's a lava pillar in the middle. I swear, it wasn't supposed to look like a lightsabre...

Non-free. Classic only gives you a veeeeeery limited taste of the game; there's no health system, no mobs, no day/night cycle, no limited resources, only a fraction of the blocks available. It's only really any good if you have no idea whether your computer will handle full Minecraft.

I read minecraftforums.net.

And Xalxe, as far as I can tell:

- The maximum level will be 30
- Level 30 enchants will have a higher chance of giving multiple enchantments than the current Level 50
- Only 15 bookcases will be needed to get level 30
- The random factor has been made less swingy
- Instead of three random levels, an enchantment table will show one level 1-5, one level 30 (or the highest that table can do), and one randomly in between

I believe it makes you invulnerable, and incapable of interacting with anything (like picking up items). You can use /afk to trigger it early.

If Claud sets it up, being afk too long could get you kicked.

You should enchant your shovel. If you're lucky, it could cut the digging time down by up to 250%.

Also, Boats are getting changed in 1.3 to be more durable, and they'll be dispensable. So it may be best to hold off with the arena until we know what we're dealing with.

Oh, and I'm going to make us a bread machine, if the new design behaves.

Fuck. I was messing around with the language files, trying to fix some of the things I don't like, and I appear to have killed Minecraft. I've re-installed everything, tried playing vanilla, nuked the files I was editing, and even tried using Mojang's launcher, but it's still throwing up an error report just after the splash screen. Anyone got any ideas?

Basically a big structure that spawns mobs and funnels them down a hole. Assuming you can make one big enough, you can get a crazy drop output.

Oh, and to anyone who doesn't use OptiFine: you should. Even if your computer is more than capable of handling vanilla, optifine gives you a ton of options to make minecraft look much better (mipmaps, in particular), utilises multi-core processors properly, and will let you use much higher quality textures. My laptop used to crash at 64x, but with OptiFine it can handle 256x with mostly fancy graphics settings. Get it today for the low, low price of $0.00!

It basically smooths the textures that render further from the camera. The further away, the more they're smoothed. It means mountains and stuff don't look all grainy, and it stops the lava oceans in the nether from torturing my eyes.

Also, OptiFine has a cool zoom feature.

Unless you're flying with a speed mod, generating and loading the world shouldn't take very long. If you're consistantly having trouble, optifine is probably the best option.

The only way to implement that would be with deathbans. I don't think co-op hardcore eould be very fun if it wasn't on a special map.
