Actually, the flavor I was toying with for the Compy Gov when considering it was that Compy is an omnivorous scavenger, able to survive off of almost anything. It has less stake in the agreement, so it could act as arbiter

*shrug* You could really plausibly justify almost anything with enough effort

I'm here

Prioritized with limited time elsewhere for (ongoing games) reasons

Okay, here's the thing

I am not a tracker

I was so convinced that BBT was scum that I gambited everything I had to take him out. It's not an optimal play, but it a) worked, b) was correct, and c) made sense in my stupid head at the time. This is why I was so resistant to testing the claim - I can't actually substantiate it. My reaction to ffery's claim was exaggerated based on her being my second top remaining suspect and being forced into playing that part. I had every intention of coming clean once BBT was dead

Now, on to business

Scripten and I are the only remaining possible scum. From my perspective, it is obviously him. I don't really have much of a case against him because he's played a cool game, but it's straight fact. I'll go back through the days and look for evidence, but he's picked his battles really carefully

Maybe? I know I've fakeclaimer stuff as Town, but I'm usually too concerned with running afoul of Town vs Town counterclaims to do it. My scumgame's way better than my Towngame, so I'm rarely as confident of a read as I was this game. It's not something I usually do, but it's not something I have any hesitancy to do in the right circumstance

See, that's clever. You've consistently promoted the notion that Neighborizer is an informal sort of Masonizer. It isn't; it's a way to select who you want to make feel important, then manipulate them. "Oh, you want to talk to me more? Sure I'll listen"

Honestly, I think the Beck kill only makes sense coming from Scripten. Scripten would know that he'd never get anyone other than his buddy lynched Day 3 with Beck around pushing, and I can see him deciding that he'd outlived his usefulness. It kind of all makes sense in that context

Arright

So the case against me consists primarily that I bussed BBT so hard that I made a fake bad scum gambit, in LYLO, while getting rid of the one person who could really make that gambit go off without a hitch, and then ADMITTED to that gambit, all while actually scumhunting and posting.

You, on the other hand, have been manipulating the Neighborhood, using it to advance fake Masonry, got rid of the one person most likely to push for your partner's lynch, and have been lurking and posting selectively since the end of D2

Scripten is the scum in this pair

Sigh

Whatever, man

I attended a lecture by paleontologist Jack Horner when I was nine, and he talked a lot about how T Rex was a scavenger. I thought it was cool, and couldn't resist shoehorning it into this game when the opportunity arose. I also feel a little offended that you feel I'm incapable of making something like that up

PE Shut up Scripten. I just said I didn't fake my Dino name. I'd have gone with something innocuous instead of a predator. What, do you stomp your victims or something?

Meh. Just read the dead thread and Beck wasn't as ranty as AA9's PM led me to believe.

Here's the scum thread: http://forum.mafiascum.net/viewtopic.php?f=90&t=59581

Responding to some specific stuff:

-The plan Day 3 was to make myself as scummy as possible. On purpose. The idea was that I'd get lynched, and my flip would look like a scum attempt to mislynch BBT, the easiest target. That hopefully would have carried him to a simple win on D4. Unfortunately, people liked the notion of lynching BBT too much, and I started gaining traction. That's when I started being scummy on purpose. I later realized that the initial plan wasn't going to work, so I threw up several Hail Mary plays trying to get other people lynched. Without Mathdino's gambits confirming him and ffery, I believe it would have worked. Math's play was actually REALLY scummy, and I could have made a beautiful case on him...except he was confTown. A Scripten case was my only choice. Faced with deadline, I could not plausibly fail to contribute to BBT's lynch after my earlier claim
-I back pedaled on my claim because I couldn't support it. I was vainly hoping that coming clean instead of continuing the fake would look Town, but Math was too laser-focused
-"I am not a tracker" was a genuine, honest-to-God scumslip. I mixed up which claim I'd gone with. I was initially going to go with Watcher, but realized at the last minute that it was too easy to disprove. I'm super proud that I managed to successfully recover from it
-Framing Mathdino as my buddy was not part of the plan...until he accused me of it. Then it was
-Not voting Scripten on D4 was calculated. I was working really hard on trying to convince ffery that I wasn't scum, I didn't want to distract from it
-I didn't give up on D4. The no kill was calculated. If I'd killed Mathdino, I was concerned that my only lifeline (ffery) might catch me in the act and end it without any room for negotiation. With a 4-person MYLO, everyone had to be unanimous, and I had a toehold to forestall it
-I really did make up every aspect of the Tracker fakeclaim. AA9 supplied none of it

Anything I missed?

I do feign offense, but this time it was mostly genuine. I was a little miffed at the repeatedly-pushed notion that I could not possibly have invented that flavor on my own. I really did, and I didn't even have to do research to do it. On the first day of kindergarten, I told my teacher I wanted to be a paleontologist when I grew up. Allegedly, my teacher called home to ask why a five-year-old was using polysyllabic words in correct context

I still felt I had a chance to convince ffery and force a standoff, and eventually convince you

I don't give up

N2 was extended because AA9 missed a PM from Scripten adding ffery to the Neighborhood

You said in the scum PT you wanted to get lynched D3 (not talking D4).

You were correct in that you getting lynched would be a much easier win than BBT getting lynched, since I'm an easier lynch than fferyllt.

If I'd self-hammered while in a position to weasel out of it, there would have obviously have been something up

Besides, I had no way to communicate to BBT that he should no-kill to avoid Watcher detection

I wonder how things would have worked out if I hadn't claimed watcher to Scripten on Night 2.

I'm glad you did! If you hadn't, I probably would have town-read Pine a lot harder.

Pine, did you come up with the role part of your fakeclaim as well as flavor? If you had claimed something like a cop, I might have been less suspicious of your claim.

Eh, I'd be too concerned about running into a real cop. It's a moot point. Cop + Watcher would have screwed me even more than Tracker + Watcher

Probably should have rolled the dice on a Scripten-tracking result

I got real apathetic when Scripten pointed out how casual I was about Pine 'fake-claiming' on me. He knew, and I knew, town me would have tunneled Pine into the ground and I think I just decided to give up after that.

Really good game and I thought town played really well.

Thanks for modding Arc!

Eh, it's okay. The plan was for you to push back and get me lynched, but it worked out the way it did. A straightforward win based on that tactic would have been less fun than what we got
