I agree that switches are anti-town. It's one of the few ways to harm townies without incriminating yourself (too much).

A) There are some pretty definite scumtells in this game. Attacking someone with an alien weapon; attacking someone without reason; pulling traps and levers and switches... If someone does that, we'll be sure to give him scrutiny, and if he doesn't give really good reasons, we kill him.vendetta wrote:Abstract: Killing bad guys is good. Taking stupid risks is not. And recognizing and cornering him are not easy tasks.
vendetta wrote: I'll be more than willing to go and mob kill the bad guy, but first

B) have it cornered
C) don't make me go through any really dangerous place just to get there to put my 1/180992790 th of the killing. Got no abilities, no weapons, no knowledge, no training. I ain't taking no risks.
PS: is very townie go and kill a confirmed alien. But very scummy too....
B) Just go wherever he's going.
C) Anti-town sentiment. That's only going to help the bad guys kill everyone without us raising an eyebrow. Sometimes, the threat of retribution is more important than the actual retribution itself.
I disagree that killing a confirmed alien is scummy in any way. An action cannot be both very townie and very scummy at the same time, so the statement is strange itself. Are you discouraging the town from banding together and using its power of numbers to kill the scum?
It is true that both townies and scum have sufficient motive to kill scum, but this does not mean we should stop doing so at all.
Therefore I completely support ABR's secondary protocol.-

ABR, you have to fight a giant mech robot now...?
Also uh, you're part of the military?
I have obtained a piece of paper that contains information about certain passengers. I cannot understand the information contained in this piece of paper (not the character, the real me), it's fairly cryptic. I think its function will be clarified with time... and deaths.-

I am to be locked in a room for two turns, then?
move: Cargo Bay Gamma
If that displeases you, Captain, I'll go elsewhere.
There is no insignia or mark on my paper. It is a list of names, followed by...
"These passengers signed in under some strange aliases. They have proper ticketing and identification, but in case you wanted to know... "
I don't see ABR's or Grek's name on it, so it's probably not a list of power roles. I'll reveal it if the town thinks it's better this way.-

An interesting point. We don't know if the aliens have mass attacks or not. Usually they don't, but...Vamparific wrote:if we mass together the aliens might attack us killing us all, that would be stupid
I'll claim what happened to me. I searched Cargo Bay Gamma, perhaps hoping to find a friggin' gold pistol, only to have found two pieces of luxury that are worth a certain amount of gold, which I will disclose if necessary. I have also obtained a secondary objective through gathering this loot, which is to gain items of a certain networth. Completing this secondary objective has no bearing towards my abilities, and is said to only give me... bragging rights. I can disclose the exact items, the gold worth, and my required networth if it is required.
Before someone asks, I did not notice what happened to vendetta.-

I said that a while ago. That's why I think ZS isn't claiming his role fully... I think the only thing that's true about his claim is that he wants the military dead as part of his objective, and I do not support that.ting =) wrote:OH.

Unless anyone else wants to claim military?
Is there anything I should be doing this turn?-

It wasn't picked up because I'm rather stupid and not very attentive anyway. In fact it contains three names. OK, I am not fully involved in this debate - for good reasons - but I do have some information to add. I will claim what happened yesterday, paraphrasing it all. While wounded and bleeding, ABR offered Vampirific his scanner. Vampirific took out a wrench and hit ABR with it, killing him; then, he took the scanner for himself.
Now I have no reason to expect you to trust me, but whatever he says, it's my word against his.-

I believe Albert was telling this truth: His objective included killing off the aliens. He may or may not be an anarchist, but I could frankly care less since he and his men were focusing on killing the scum (which fits your story too). As I said earlier, if Albert isn't the military, who is? I do not believe Mokina would declare the win condition of a group that doesn't even exist.
I do not trust you, ZombieSlayer. You may or may not be an alien, but you're helping to take down our greatest weapon against the aliens. You must understand I will not help you in your quest.
Allow me to elaborate a little further. You said the anarchists' win condition is to kill everyone. The military's win condition is to kill the scum, but they can also kill the civilians. I find that if I were an anarchist, I would definitely take care of the aliens first, because they're more powerful and threatening; and also because I want to fake being the military as long as possible. So as long as the aliens still live, both the military and the anarchists are on our side, although we should prepare to fight them later if they were anarchists - not much of a difference. This is assuming there actually is no military, which is already quite bizarre. This is the logic behind me not thinking Vampirific is doing a pro-town thing.
Vampirific didn't even say he wouldn't heal ABR. I don't recall him saying he believed you, ZS, and if he did he should've said that long ago. He just sneak-attacked him and hoped no one would see it. Well, I saw it.-

Thanks for the answers.
I say that Vamparific is anti-town because he doesn't share your claimed win condition. What sort of incentive does he have to help someone else achieve their win condition? Unless he trusted you very completely, and was sure ABR was about to kill everyone, I don't know why he'd give ABR a wrench in the head except being an alien.
There's a "crew" that's separate from the innocents, I gather? I always thought you guys were referring to the innocents when you said "crew"...-

Why can't I be confused like that? If I am not a member of the crew but still an innocent, I would not know of the crew's existence. Not claiming yet.vendetta wrote: PS:Litral, you said
What's your role? Is not innocent for sure, you cannot confuse like that if you received the innocents PMed role. So, who are you? There's a "crew" that's separate from the innocents, I gather? I always thought you guys were referring to the innocents when you said "crew"...

He was giving it to you. You know very well he was about to give it to you. He declared it publicly, and there was no evidence suggesting he wasn't.Vamparific wrote:actually i killed him A.To get the scanner
You wouldn't mind us killing you to get ABR's weapons back, then?Vamparific wrote: B.To get any weapons
You're telling me having no HP > having low HP? Unless you prove to me that bleeding is detrimental to the town, this is pretty weak.Vamparific wrote: C.sorta a mercy kill he was bleeding out everywhere
You're not helping to convince me you're town.
Grek, any possibility one of your crew members is an infiltrating scum?-

I think Grek has made a good observation and the transfusion kit should indeed be used this way. Why else would there be an O- blood transfusion option? We should at least try. Someone who doesn't react isn't confirmed town, but chances are we'll see reactions as long as the transfusion kit is used.-

ZombieSlayer, BlackWolf. Make a pact for us. Do NOT kill each other until we have evidence that most of the aliens are finished. You claim to be alien-hunters, so hunt aliens. Don't hunt each other. The only thing I care about ZS's anarchist-hunting scheme is that it rids us of our most powerful weapon against the aliens, and that is so very bad.
ZS, if you kill BlackWolf and the other anarchist, who's going to take down the aliens? I for one can't, I have no combat ability at all. You? I highly doubt it, since we don't even trust you. If you want your story to hold up, that is, you want the aliens to die, stop hunting anarchists for a while and hunt aliens.
How many suspected aliens do we have? This lack of clarity makes me very uneasy.-

Pentadragon, why the Computer Core? Vamp looks like a good person to use your ability on.
EDIT: strikethroughed, I missed Nightson's post.
Guys, let's not ALL follow Nightson. He could be wanting to take out the entire town at once with some sort of device. I mean, I don't even know why he claimed scum, and this sounds like a good motive.
I think you guys should claim what sort of items you have, and we'll plan to deal around 12 damage to him.-

I think it is clear, from his name, that Slysly wants to deanimate things. Next to go after Nightson, for me.
Grek, you talked with ABR about some sort of Io Research Organization / Applied Robotics Group a while back. Was this some sort of code? Or can this help us determine Slysly's origins and intentions?-
