I will say that tunneling Venmar like Titus is is indicative of town from my experience (which isn't much, but hey), though, admittedly, I am loathe to say so. Also, I was completely unaware of the neighborhood; I just happened to stumble across it because I had accidentally clicked on "Private Topics," so I can confirm that Venmar's confusion/ignorance is legitimate. I guess I thought "The X-Men" link was to Wikipedia or some such thing. Personally, I think he's pretty much confobvtown at this point.-

I do have a tendancy to put on blinders, but I'm not willing to be anti-town to keep my blinders. Venmar is scum. It's fucking obvious all his posts further a scum objective. No scumhunting. He omgussed me. So yeah, I'll scumread him until he actually does something townie before he's a derping doodoo head which doesn't make sense for Venmar. If you don't want me to keep talking about Venmar, here's an idea, quit asking me about Venmar. I'll tell you if I quit scumreading him and I'll make an effort to highlight a decent post he makes (supposing he ever makes one).
K. Just keep your eyes out for other potential targets. It's comforting, at least, that you're not a vigilante. Thoughts on Clusk92? He was apart of that whole RVS nonsense with Venmar. I suppose I wouldn't mind hearing more thoughts across the board about Clusk. Seems like he should be pinging on people's scumdars to some extent, since he RV'd then peaced.

In post 8, borkjerfkin wrote:here is what I was going to post as soon as I could:
If you read nothing else I write here: DO NOT RVS ANYONE
I'm going to attempt to outline some ways we can potentially get some earlier objectives completed so that we can all get closer to our abilities together.
1)Vote on and correctly predict the day's lynch within 24 hours of the day phase beginning
- this is actually really easy to do if 1) we don't mind possiblylynching quickly only on D1and 2) we possess a rudimentary ability to coordinate. I think this is pretty easy to nip in the bud for all 4 hoods, especially since it synergizes well with nearly EVERY other objective.
2)Vote on and correctly predict a night kill
- this is something we can also use to our advantage. If we divide and conquer across the hoods and pick 4 of the towniest looking people in the game andclaim targets in thread, we can effectively force scum to choose between leaving obvtown alive and advancing the ability counter.
3)Successfully lynch scum with the whole neighborhood on the wagon
- harder, swingier. We can coordinate this, but we should attempt to do 2 hoods on D1, 2 hoods if we get something that's going to definitely lead to a lynch like a cop guilty, and let people vote normally other days.
4)Successfully lynch scum with neighborhood members in the first and last positions on the wagon
- can only do one hood at a time, but still completely controllable by us. We can attempt 1 hood every day, just switch the votes on the wagon around.
5)Successfully navigate an entire day phase without a member of the neighborhood receiving any votes
- Easily manipulable. We can get 3 hoods this one on D1.
If you read nothing else I write here: DO NOT RVS ANYONE
We think we should claim hood abilities. We have a 1-Shot Sensor (use to discern how many on the lynch wagon the previous day were scum)-

So we've come to the conclusion that basically the NK prediction should be used as a sort of 'doctor'. Just predict the person you do not want to die and force scum to kill elsewhere or give you the ability.

Ohhhh boy. That was a hoot and a half. Glad I read through all of those pages instead of skimming. Was kind of hard to follow the flow there with all the bouncing from eek to Titus to eek to Titus to Toog... Oof. Anywho...
So, eek/Venmar/bork are my most-sure town reads for me, with Titus close behind. Toog seems town, but the fact that he screwed up objectives makes me think it's slightly unforgivable in the sense that this could be a scum move to sabotage then sort of back-track - it would seem to me the only feasible way to stall town objectives like that. I'm hesitant to be so bold to call some others town. I have scum suspicions, but I want to talk it over with Macaronis first.

So. What we need to do:
Treat this like a double day, take the full amount of time needed and come to a definite conclusion on not only who to lynch today, but tomorrow as well [hint: titus], that way tomorrow, we could get no votes for 3/4 of the hoods and predict the lynch. Also, we should always coordinate wagons right now. Whenever we decide on a lynch, the wagon should consist of two hoods and one other person, even if it's a policy lynch, bc there's always a chance they flip scum.

It's hard to do when you just keep on tunneling them, ignoring those reads. Well, actually that might be good considering you're so bias- Oh nevermind.

Because they are. . . Town?
Claiming so we could actually get the objective if town was that stupid === Protown
You narrowed the pool of possible PRs for scum. Oh wait, they would never shoot you.

And mislynch tons of people in the process. . .
Now, can you make the same list for Venmar and Eek?
It's not that hard:

Mac and Cheese, I want to know why your stance on flavor claiming changed.
We have strong suspicions that Speaker for the Dead is the mafia member implanted within our neighborhood. Firstly, they made a post very similiar to bork's in our neighborhood, nearly one day after he did in yours. Thus it brings up the strong possibility that the person in bork's neighborhood saw the post, told the other mafia and suggested that one of them replicate the idea. Of course he didn't quote it, but most likely just mentioned it. Leaving them to create their own and gain more credibility for it. They also choose not to post it at the start of the day.
Before the game had started, I made a post about flavor: Stating that I thought we were Team X-Calibre and mentioned Nightcrawler. When asked to flavor claim, they claimed Nightcrawler. Which goes to suggest the possibility that they used the info in my post to form a fakeclaim.
Now, only after we have shown reasonable suspicions towards them, they are going after us, wanting to policy lynch us. Which I find to be very OMGUS, considering they didn't even notice us in the first 24 hours and only begin suspecting us, after we suspected them.
I recently claimed within the 'hood, but when they claimed, their claim was two words. Which makes it very difficult for us to discern that they want us to claim. Neither me or my partner recognized it as pointing to us to claim, thus the delay.
The 'X-Men' within this Marvel universe, contain Quicksilver, Storm, Dazzler, Iceman, Banshee, and Exodus.
We're Weapon X. It causes suspicions that they are one of three players outside our 'group' as well.
We're also not very impressed by their posts, despite the wall, which brought this all up in the first place.

It's simply a possibility. Tbh, despite their 'poor' play, we weren't really ready to accuse them of anything yet. We wanted to get a flavor claim, but other then that, until their most recent posts, we were prepared to leave them alone for today.

Perhaps Speaker for the Dead is confused because Weapon X in the normal X-Men series is a government project which produced the likes of Wolverine, Leech, and others, HOWEVER, in the Apocalypse series, James "Logan" Howlett is known as Weapon X NOT Wolverine. So, to be more specific, we're the Age of Apocalypse version of Wolverine.

Wikipedia wrote:The Weapon X codename
- In mainstream Marvel, Logan was the first individual known as Weapon X. After Wolverine, Garrison Kane went by the alias of Weapon X as well, before leaving the Canadian Government to work as a mercenary again.
- A short time later, a New Zealand terrorist was captured by the Canadian Government and subjected to an experiment which bonded him to a bacteria colony called Thetagen-24. This symbiosis proved dangerous as the union created a deadly energy field which could only be contained by an armored suit that was powered by the energy field.
- In the "Age of Apocalypse" alternate universe, Logan was known as Weapon X.

Can you tell me what Venmar claimed?
Derp...
but this implies you know Venmar's??
I meant Majiffy's. And yes, I do, because he flavor claimed in our 'hood, though I think Venmar's is likely to fall in line with our and Majiffy's flavor claims, given his soft-claim in the 'hood.

Certainly there are no past games to see how the moderator chooses characters for roles, nonetheless I think it's valid as a supplemental argument (not a foundational one - I agree there).

To be fair, with twenty players in the game, we can't all be Jean Greys and Magnetos (Magnetoes?).
Fair enough; it just seems to me that Nightcrawler is the odd man out.

Aronis is Mac-Aronis. Do people not get our triple entendre? That makes me sad.
Also, what exactly is making our case more scummy than Speaker for the Dead's? I'm not following how we went from lean-town to scum on people's reads lists.

What is your foundational argument then?
I'm not biting on flavor spec in general and in specific I'm not biting on it here: I skimmed the Earth-295 article for Nightcrawler and he's a member of the X-men and a pretty popular character in general. It's reasonable he's in the game, and I don't see how you can, in good conscience, make any argument that his minor influence in this universe is alignment indicative.
Macaronis and Cheese wrote:We have strong suspicions that Speaker for the Dead is the mafia member implanted within our neighborhood.
~Macaronis
After considering it more, I will admit that given this is likely to be a VT-heavy and Mafia power-heavy game, the likelihood that mafia have been given powerful fake claims seems fairly high.
