The fact that Haylen got "strangled" pretty clearly points to Gollum as the perpetrator and Gollum makes a whole lot of sense as an SK.

Raceclaim is a stupid idea. There's almost going to be a strong correlation between having a cooler race and having power (Gandalf is a Maiar for one).

Denethor is not a nice character, but I don't see him as scum simply due to lack of allies for him to work with.
