Interesting thought... In order for her meta to be taken into account, though, the killer would have to be someone who knew her enough. I'm not so sure town would strangle (not shoot) a player this early in the game, though. It's too dangerous, as evidenced by the loss of a PR.

Preview edit: Katsuki makes a good point. Strangulation looks like SK, though it could still possibly be town.

Second preview edit: Excellent point about Gollum.
Someone isn't doing a lot of thinking on their own.

Hmmm. I don't think bv would bus Mari if they were partners. Which is the scum then.

FWIW, my vote has nothing to do with Glork or Spy. I've listed my reasons for voting and they haven't changed.
Really? Two very vocal, very leader-oriented players this game are crying for a wagon on someone and you want to make it very clear you're using your own reasons?

Why does a townie need to point this out?
---
Alright, so while musing about this game (thanks for the support, Glork) and after reading some of the hate coming my way, it's quite apparent that even if I think my posts make a presence in a game, many others don't think the same. I'll look to resolve this.

I'm caught up, and my next post will indicate what I feel are major points to consider re: this game.

Well, with the possibility of having two scumgroups as brought up by Gandalf, there could easily be scums all over this wagon. I actually agree with Wraith's request. I'd like to see reasons beyond it being close to deadline.
Two groups is only a possibility at the moment, but I don't disagree with it being a good question. I still think my question is the better of the two.

I'm still confident in a Kat/Mari/Syprex group since Spyrex himself says mafia are 3-4.

I think Gandalf or Kat are the best lynches today.

@ME: WeirdRa was the best wagon at the time of my vote because I thought the pressure gandalf received on the fakeclaim was a bunch of smoke and mirrors and bullshit, and I thought me adding my vote would get the ball rolling on an actual lynch for the Day. I do have a gutscum read on WeirdRa after everyone started pointing fingers, and I feel the hydra's actions since my vote only further justify my spot on the wagon.

Spyrex has since then eased my thoughts on Glork's behavior toward him.

Um, rewq, I think you're about to get your scumhunting card put on probation for a bit.

Sly can still be scum. Say he's a scum watcher and was blocked/bv was blocked; in this equation he can be telling the truth and still be scum. Sly can most certainly be town; this time he claims thinking it is best for the town to try and catch Mari in a semi-counterclaim.

What I do know, though, is that if Sly is scum, Glork needs to die posthaste. His defense of Sly seemed too urgent.

BTW, when I said this, it was right after I thought Spy had made a super scummy post, and that Glork was either a) being obtuse or b) sheltering a scumbuddy from the storm.

Spyrex has since then eased my thoughts on Glork's behavior toward him.
inHimshallibe wrote:Um, rewq, I think you're about to get your scumhunting card put on probation for a bit.

CES would also be a top choice, and Mariyta is still transparent as to being scum of some sort.

Boromir, Seraph-Knight

This is a one-shot, continuous ability if you're not familiar with the role (I was not). On Night Two I chose someone to Seraph protect, and that target cannot be targeted by anything other than Town abilities so long as I am alive.

On Night One, instead of snap-protecting Glork, my doubts on him made me hesitate. So I laid in wait and picked someone other than Glork on Night Two after I still had my doubts.

My target is still alive.

Sorry for my relatively little use in these last few real-life days. I'll get back and draw up some suspects after work.

Edge might be protecting rewq. They claimed that a "random person" on the lynch got the palantir. This is not consistent with how the rings are passed, according to Katy.

The reason I bring it up is because we already have information on how one set of items in the game are passed. Wraith noted that his QT changed after the Sauron lynch, and so we have no reason to believe (given Katy's information) that the palantiri should be any different than rings.

We hate on Wraith for the truth he is seemingly telling; I can't say in good conscience that I think he's lying about it.

I'm very aware of why we are not forcing claims, but I don't feel there's a reason to lynch Wraith. I'm bringing it up
now
because of IRL issues keeping me from being as vocal and give me some time to think about the game.

Explain to me why it matters who hammered when we just discussed how palantirs move.

I don't think Wraith has a ring, and thus my hammer.

Mari, did you get a certain "Edge was not targeted" or something more ambiguous?

I did not want Nero Cain to vote when he did. I wanted Wraith to come in and explain the palantir movement.

Nero voted, I was finding conflicting evidence from Edge, and I didn't want them to be lying and the hammer actually did matter.

Besides, since why would Plum/Andy give Mordor both Gimli AND Legolas as fakeclaims? That's just bad design right there.
This is a very good point, though not one I was willing to make.

@INHIM: NO. NO. NO. DO NOT BUY INTO THAT. THAT ISNT BAD SETUP DESIGN AT ALL. MAFIA IS NOT ABOUT "WHAT FRODO WAS A FAKECLAIM? WELL FUCK" MAFIA SETUP DESIGN IS ABOUT NOT LETTING YOUR GAME BEING BROKEN BY MASSCLAIM AND SPECULATION WHICH IS WHAT I TRUST PLUM TO DO>

DO NOT BUY A LEGOLAS CLAIM BECAUSE OF THE GOD DAMN NAME. DONT FUCKING DO THAT. DONT BE BLIND TO EVERYTHING ELSE.

GOD DAMN IT
No, I was making the point that one of Legolas/Gimli would be given to Isengard and the other to Mordor.

You are right in that it's a very weak point.

Dekes disappeared after Wraith became the main target. And LL and rewq have been confirmed to be not masons. We need to focus on these 3 tomorrow.
This is sound.

There's nothing wrong with this at this point in the gamestate. In Mafia, you're guilty until proven innocent.

My theory is that Mari is the Witch-King, and the Mordor Mafia has the use of the Eye as a factional ability that CANNOT be used by the same person performing the kill. Of course, this could apply to VV, and he's just flat out the Witch-King that can track through smell (or whatever it is that the Nazgul do). This kill flavor conjecture is effectively irrelevant.

Mariyta wrote:What does that have to do with me? And you gave me nothing to refute. You just posted a bunch of quotes. If you have questions, ask them. But if you prefer to tunnel (as you have a tendency to do), I'm telling you right now that you're wrong. You should really listen to Katy. She's probably the most logical person we have left right now.

P-edit: Edge's second post makes no sense. VV is probably the second most logical person we have.
I'm an idiot.

Now.

Dekes, LL, Nero Cain, VV, Edge

Do we have enough time to kill all of these peeps, preferably in that order... maybe switching Nero with LL.

For the record, I skated as much as I did because I knew I had Edge, the most active member in the game, locked up tight. Had this been a different situation and Edge would have died, my participation would have picked up for sure.

Great game, well maintained, enjoyed it very much. I was glad to have a meaningful effect on the game. Also, come on... you read Reap's post and tell me that isn't cause for a little bit of unease when it comes to Wraithhammer.

EBWOP: That should have read more along the lines of "I would have tried to post at work more" instead of "I was actively avoiding this game." :P
