Can you define this?

A white flag ending is a mutual agreement by all players to end the game in a draw (ala rocks fall or HEA). It will not be implemented unless a large majority of players agree to it and even then I will discuss it with a listmod.

Discussion in the thread would be potentially AI and could involve peer pressure meaning we wouldn't get the accurate wants of all the players, and as such this would need to be done via PM. If no one wants to continue the game, there is no need to force the game to continue. I am perfectly happy to mod the game to it's conclusion.

If you personally don't want to continue the game, you are free to replace out as normal. For now, assume that the game will continue. I will only make further announcements on this matter if action is being taken.

Both of these statements are true. Well, actually I don't know if the vigilante fruit is the final fruit Pine will talk about. ATTN: The rules are being amended. Rule 1 of the Game Specific Rules will henceforth read:

Days will last 10 days. Nights will last 48 hours after the flip is posted. If mechanically relevant, Twilights will last 24 hours after the hammer, during which the hammered player may continue to post. I will acknowledge the hammer as soon as possible, but the twilight will be measured from the actual post containing the hammer. If not mechanically relevant, Twilight will be as short as is reasonable and convenient for the mod. The thread will not lock until the flip is incoming.

For Posterity, the previous rule was: Days will last 10 days. Nights will last 48 hours after the flip is posted. Twilights will last 24 hours after the hammer, during which the hammered player may continue to post. Any statement including an objective falsehood, with the exception of lies of omission (which are explicitly allowed by the OP).

For example, I can't verify the truth of "You don't have to worry about fruit X anymore" because I don't know if worrying about any fruit will have a net positive or negative effect on the town. I can't verify statements like "I never felt like using it" because I don't know Pine's inner thoughts and he COULD be telling the truth. If Pine were to say "The Governor fruit will give the ability to speak perfect Mandarin IRL" I could then give the exact wording of the Governor fruit's abilities as described in the scum PT, as that is an untrue statement. (I hope no one considers confirming that Pine's fruit can't magically affect you IRL a modslip.) I can specify a statement is true or unverifiable, and the statement that the fruit spoils under the specified conditions is both verifiable and objectively true.

Until or unless he does lie, I can't give out any information about the fruit and their abilities.

The slight scumsidedness was intended to account for the inclusion of players who were just never going to be viable Pine recruits. For example, I don't think Pine ever picks chen or Xof, and while town realized that early on they also dropped it and nearly lynched both of those slots.

There was nothing wrong with the fruit mechanic, for sure, aside from the cancerous governor fruit. The game really didn't provide players with much of a means to bargain; some of the bargains were interesting but most weren't.

The bargains were entirely Pine's prerogative. I was frankly baffled that so many people chose to give away so much when really it was designed to ensure you didn't just ignore Pine, as per his request.

I kinda already said it in the dead thread, but I made several major errors that I wish I hadn't in hindsight.

First, the governor fruit was stupid OP for scum. I realized it would be powerful, but didn't really think through how powerful. Second, the messenger mechanic. Originally, we were just going to use flavored role PMs to make people feel special, but due to impatience (of all three of us I believe) we started the game before they could be made. The decision to allow for continued messaging was a huge oversight on my part that was not accounted for in the balance. Third, inviting Dannflor. DANNFLOR, WHY HAVE YOU FORSAKEN ME!

+1. I saw what you were trying to do, but I think in this game aiming for weak links with the mason pool was probably a better idea. People like Ari who would be valuable in keeping people happy but wouldn't be seen as outright threatening by Pine probably would have been a better bet.

Kats and GIce were strong at forming reads, but as much as they did, they also relied on the masonry as a crutch which crippled their impact.

You could tailor the draft to your game fairly easily though. Best variants would be Snakedraft (STTTTSSTTTTSS...), increasing patterns (STSTTSTTT...) Increasing Symetric (STTSSTTTTSSS...) or Backdraft (Mod drafts scumteam, Scumstump drafts town who can't be drafted by mod).

I strongly encourage not publicizing what method you use. I also strongly suggest a smaller pl.

tbf, that did require scum to not shoot at conftown and scum had two methods of potentially making hider innos false results, but given they DIDN'T have a way to break through Ali's protection that's still roughly balanced.

The numbers game shown is partially why town didn't have a tracker or cop or anything that could guilty scum, though. The other part being that I don't like cop or cop like roles.

My issue with cop is that outside of incredibly inelegant roles, a cop result of guilty isn't really something you can argue down. It completely removes the ability of scum to play around it.

And yes, I could have added a bunch of other roles that give questionable information, but the more of those that get added, the less impact the role Pine requested has on the setup. Given that the conceit was Pine had a chance to influence the setup and chose to do so with the inventor role, I didn't think deliberately undermining his request was the right decision to make.

You can argue that you don't like centralized power as much as you like, but the gimmick of the setup called for centralized power and that's not something I consider a mistake. And, to be perfectly honest, the fact that you don't like centralized power means more that this type of setup isn't one you should play in, not that the setup was poorly designed. Yes, Pine and Ali had a disproportionate amount of influence over the game. The game was also NAMED ALISAE VS PINE.

(Also, FWIW, the masons were semi targeted by Ali and the rest of the conftown was targeted by non random role distribution.)
