I think the entire system of beginning games with a day is flawed, and has a negative influence on the game of mafia.

Starting games with a day forces players to babble about nothing for pages on end until someone does something irritating enough to get lynched over. This usually has nothing whatsoever to do with them being mafia. Most day one lynches that do end up getting scum are pure luck.

Here's his second paragraph. He is mad about beginning with a day. He doesn't ever say anything against random voting. Please correct me if I'm wrong.

Why must games always start with day? It seems so counter-intuitive. How are we supposed to figure out who will kill someone in the future when they haven't even killed someone yet. Besides that, the very notion of justice seems to suggest that we should not punish someone for crimes they only intend to commit. They actually have to at least attempt to commit the crime before we can punish them for it.

Change of gaming style is a null tell, and I don't see how that particular little speech would benefit a scum anyhow. I think that the discussion on random voting is drivel also. Bias behind random votes are too hard to divine and too easy to disguise whether from town or scum to be important. What matters is the throwing of accusations, bandwagons etc. That said I also can understand that it's a nice place to start a discussion.

Druken Piper is pushing SpringLullaby a little bit too much for my liking. SpringLullaby, despite dinging some scum radars with her lurking theories, still makes a good point in post 155. And I agree, the rhyming makes everything a little more diffucult, and is totally unecessary. It clouds the game, and it serves no purpose other than to steal attention. Well, you're getting it.

DP - Obfuscates his posts with poetry. Started an attack against RoN based on meta, and kept pushing it without RoN's response. Started discussing RoN with other people who were defending him. When Spring attacks him for his case, he starts OMGUS her. I don't see her dodging his questions as he says. I don't find him that scummy, though.

I caught Ranger in a lie or a playstyle change and took the cue.
In another game he random voted without care.
I wanted to know why he started this game with such a reversal declare.

You are right, I have tunnel visioned on Spring for I found his play lacking,
But I guess review of other player’s I have been slacking.

Ala has not really done anything and has pinged my radar little.
However, after rereading the game a bit, he does come across non committal.

Lately however, I believe that Ala has provided stances.
That could be because of the pressure, he dares to now take chances.

I think his follower mentality should be watched more.
An example of this is his following of Claus in post 184.

However, I find him less scummy though than someone like Dean.
Who has constantly lurked, and stays behind the scenes.

I do feel good about Claus, who has provided good, solid, and steadfast content.
He takes a stance on conversations, and is not a follower 100%.

He is being a dick (and OMGUSy) let there be no doubt,

1.) I am fine with mass claim of names, but unless we have a role that can find out names, it might be useless because scum will lie.
1b.) if we mass claim names, Spring should tell the name of the CL AFTER

Armix, is true and right, and in the knows.

A thought over a beer: I am indeed mafia. But there is still hope for my team to win, so I am going to help the town to at least defeat the other faction (cult) which at this point is a bigger threat to this here town. There is indeed NOT two jail keepers. I couldn’t prove to you that Claus is lying without giving myself away, but Claus slipped up today. In my mafia PM, I was given two extra “safe” fake claims. One of those fake claims was for a doc/roleblocker the other was for a JoaT. I was planning on using the JoaT claim…that screwed up once we killed the JoaT…at any rate,

I knew that either Mok or Claus was telling the truth and the other was lying but didn’t know who until this post.

However, there MUST be valid fakeclaims, because else the game would be easily breakable, and I think DR is a good enough mod to prevent that.

Claus (who must be cult) received the same type PM I did. He was probably given a safe claim from the MOD like I did, just in case he had to claim. This post proves that. DR did put valid fake claims into this game, and gave them to us…Claus displays this knowledge….this was a slip up that only scum would catch.

Now (thanks to Armix) my days are numbered (if I am not lynched today surely I will be tomorrow). But you have to ask yourself this, what is the biggest threat today? A mafia that will not grow in numbers or a cult that will?

It is my understanding that a jailkeeper stops others from being targeted...we know that is not true, because gorkat was able to watch Ala...so maybe the role is a doc/roleblocker, versus a jailkeeper....I think that the Docs probably protect against culting...of course there is always the rank factor to consider too.

What it is worth, I really do think that Claus is the Cult Leader...Spring never confirmed that he was blocked...but he was...that would equal 3 blockers in one game...I think it is important at one point for Spring to confirm that.

a dying note to my buddies, I dont think that Gorkat just had a one shot watching ability. He will probably target Armix...now I said that, it might all change but I seriously doubt it.
